My first recommendation would be GO ORGANIC!!!

All natural, organic sources help your plants reach their full potential as far as flavor goes. Synthetics contain lots of salts, which is what can destroy your flavor if you DO choose to go with them and do not learn how to FLUSH your plants at the end of your flower cycle. Personally, I go with majority Advanced Nutrients organic line. Iguana Juice Grow, Mother Earth SuperBloom Tea, Nirvana BioBloom Stimulant, Humic Acid, Fulvic Acid, Bud Candy, Voodoo Juice (although, I would recommend using different beneficial bacteria products, such as Roots Organics OregonISM XL), Organic B complex, Kushie Kush ... Some Botanicare products, such as their SWEET Carbo line (Citrus, Grape, Berry flavor) and their Cal-Mag Plus product ... Tropical Organics Banana Extract ... Alaska Organics Liquid Fish Emulsion ... Espoma Organics Garden Lime & Soil Acidifier ... Lilly Miller's Bone Meal (15 lb bags)

Do your share of research and ask plenty of questions. Spend some money and be sure to experiment with various products before you get too comfortable with one. It'd be almost impossible to get things EXACTLY right your first time around, so just make a goal to log your trials & errors and learn from your mistakes, and the rest will come over time! Some other companies I don't use but either have in the past or plan to in the future, would be Humboldt Nutrients, Dutch Master, FoxFarm, General Hydroponics, ... It's all about finding what works best for you and what you can afford!

Take a peak at my grow and you will get a decent idea of what you need for a good organic soil grow. I have everything nicely listed. I would avoid technaflora nutes... Stick with a good organic nute line-up like foxfarm, humbolt,Advanced Nutrients

Use the smallest dwarf strains you can find and forget the bag seed. Chance are your bag seed is hermie seeds. [FONT=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]I was looking at autoflower seeds that mature at anywhere from 7 inches to 21 inches. I don't think I've seen smaller than that, but those would be good for a pc grow. When you order your seeds, use a money order and order from a reputable seller.

military. after germination this cute little lady will automaticly start to flower after around 20/25 days.
then take around 5/6 weeks to finish,so your looking around 65 to 75 days from seed to smoke!its also best to super crop
her in small pots for max yield per m2.
She's the perfect partner if your short on space/hieght as she is very short when she finishes...condition and lumen

If you want to see good organic results, check out my 'Outdor Mazar' thread. I have some 6-8 ft monster ladies that will finish between 8-10 ft, and are lush from top to bottom, no burnt tips on a single plant!

Thanks for the tips guys! How often do i water my babys?
You can water every day to every other day, as long as you aren't SOAKING the soil every time you do so. I start by only use a cup or two of water per plant, pending how they look to me. This is increased to 3-4 cups as they mature. This allows enough moisture for the plant, but will also leave some air pockets in the soil for the roots to breath. Using PERLITE in your soil mixture helps greatly with drainage & air exchange for the roots. If you drown your plants and/or don't have proper drainage, you can easily start to kill them off or cause ROOT ROT. My oscillating fans move plenty of air over the top soil, so that will assist in evaporation incase I ever water too much, and then plenty of holes drilled at the bottom of my 5 gallon bucket, leading to some plant saucers so that nothing ever builds up at the bottom of your bucket.

I think you are making a wise choice starting with soil. Soil gives you a grow medium that is already fertile, much more PH stable than hydro, and overall much less setup/maintainence/costs. This is going to allow you time to really focus on your nutrients used, as well as keeping a close eye on the results your plant shows you from how you're feeding. When you learn how to properly manage nutrient levels and build a proper array made available to your plants WITHOUT burning, then it will be that point where you can take that knowledge & step it up to hydro. I say this because in hydro, you literally have a 50 gallon reservoir or whatnot of water (mine for example, is 6.75 PH & 39 PPM). Because hydro wants 5.3-5.5 PH, and approx 400 PPM starting out for your lil girls, you now know that EVERY day, in order to get quality results, you will have to check these levels and make the proper adjustments. Any time you add nutrients, same thing. You can mix a new solution with $40 of nutes in there, only to find you have an algae problem because your res is exposed to unwanted light & has no hydrogen peroxide in it. DUMP it. Refill with another $40 of nutes and another hour of your time... See where I'm going? It's just one thing after another, and will take a lot of beginners by surprise, on top of the fact that 99% of first time hydro growers burn their plants. I say, keep on doing your thing in soil and when you're ready to take it to the next level, go for hydro (that is, if you don't enjoy soil. personally i think soil gives best smoke & flavor. i can wait the extra time it takes over hydro).

Anyway, holla if you have more questions & good luck!

Thank you Mazar i Shariff, that was alot of help to me i do have a few more questions before i get this under way. When to use/mix nutes:

- You want to have your plants in a good, fertile soil to start. Some prefer Happy Frog or FoxFarm premixed. This stuff is great, as it already is fertile, has peat, humic acid, beneficial bacteria, ... but it's about $15 a bag. If you use this, it's very controlled, and you WILL NOT have to feed any seedlings for the first 2-4 weeks. I actually start feeding them by creating very light FOLIAR SPRAYS (you can research how to mix those properly), and spraying them down once a day, or every other day. This spray will also help keep your soil moist, but not drench it the way pouring water on the top soil will. Mixing your own soil, as I typically do, is the same deal. You just want to make sure it's properly fertilized prior to planting so that you can follow the same no feed for 2-4 weeks rule. Even if you don't add fertilizer, most sprouts will still be fine without. For each 5 gallon bucket, 2 parts earthworm castings, 2 parts blood meal, 1 part bone meal, 1 part garden lime would be a great example of a ratio you could use if you fertilize your own mix. AFTER, the 2-4 weeks of no feeding (except water/foliar), you can start by feeding your girls your veg nutrients @ 1/4 strength of what is recommended. If the powder is fine & water soluable, you want to mix it directly into the water. Very few powder mixes are supposed to be prepped like this, as they are usually larger grains & pellets so that it can slow release. If this is the case, mix it into the top 3 inch layer of your soil and it will release with every watering. Some need to be replaced weekly, some bi-weekly, some feeds last up to 2 months. Read about the slow release in the product and find out what to expect.

Tap Water:

-If you have quality tap water, by all means use it. Just know, there are lots of addatives that should be filtered out prior to using it. Two main ones, being chlorine & flouride. There's also hard minerals & salts in non-filtered water that can become a problem if used frequently over time. For this, I would recommend using a Brita or PUR water filter or faucet adapter. I bought one the other day @ home depot for $24, it came with a new & improved filter to get you started that will last a good while. This is worth every penny, and is the bare minimum that you should do for your plants as far as water filtration. Because I do larger amounts of water frequently for my 7 footers, I use a Heavy Duty GE Household water filter w/ an upgraded carbon filter. Cost around $65. I'm actually looking to upgrade again to the GE Reverse Osmosis systems, as that is the absolute best system you can run your water thru prior to feeding. It will have basically nothing in it, and is actually noticably tastier if you have a glass for yourself and see the difference between that & tap. A more advanced system like that runs you $175-200. Regardless, all these things can be used not only for your plants health, but YOURS as well. Whether it's drinking a glass of water, boiling pasta in chlorinated water vs filtered, or smoking bud that's fed by tap vs smoking filtered, water quality is EXTREMELY important and you WILL notice a difference!

Also, spend the $100 on eBay for a PPM/PH/EC unit if you do not already have one. It will allow you to test your tap water, filtered water, nutrient solutions, and runoff water coming from the bottom of your pots after you feed/flush that will tell you a lot of information that those without are simply left guessing!

Thank you again for your help its good to know and its a plus that i already have a PUR water filter. Its very noticeable between the regular tap and the PUR filtered water when you drink it. And i plan on buying the fox farms ocean forest premix.

For watering, I flood my plants until water comes out the bottom of the pot, usually 2 or 3 gallons of water per gallon of soil. After it drains good, I put it back under the light and let the soil go almost dry and then pour in a dose of fertilizer, let that go almost dry then flood again. I do this back and forth until it's time to flower and then I do the same thing with flowering nutes instead of veg nutes. Besides the flood/fertilize routine, I mist a few times a day with water and once a day with a weak foliar solution of fertilizer. Using this method it's hard to make the two most common mistakes with growing pot: over watering and over fertilizing. They say to not fertilze every day, but my plants don't have any problem with a weak foliar spray.

I would avoid the expensive fertilizers. It's possible for you to spend much more money on fertilzer than what it would cost to buy your pot from a dealer. Miracle Grow will get you through your vegitative stage, then you need a bloom fertilizer. I use Snow Storm Ultra along with Miracle grow for bloom, but keep in mind that I got the SSU as a free sample and I'd never pay their prices for a small grow.

There's two ways to grow, chemically and organically. I grow chemically because it's cheaper and much easier. To be perfectly honest, your plant wants food and it don't really care where it comes from. Besides, if you flush for the last week or so of flowering, you're going to get rid of any chemical signature.

Good luck with your grow.

Sounds good, you'll be off to a good start. Best of luck on the upcoming grow and keep us updated!

How long will my plants have to be in the vegatative stage before i can switch to flowering im currently using mircle grow potting mix and im starting 12/12 from seed

You switch to flowering by changing 18/6 to 12/12.
Your plants will start flowering themselves.
I'd suggest that you go 18/6 and veg for 2-3weeks. And then 12/12 and make your plants flower. The extra veg time also gives your lst shelf more work!! Make sure to use it

I'm getting the same case. I'm really excited to see how you do.
