I'm growing outdoors and I have a question. I have a Blueberry clone that has been growing outdoors since May 8. The lower half has amber/goldish pistils, but the top has white ones. Is it ready to harvest or should/will it all have amber/goldish pistils when it's ready? Please advise.

do you have a Ocular device? Look at the tricomes If some buds are ready, pick them and if some are not, leave them .
(Im not a pro I just grow)

Pick the lower amber ones before thay get to golden. If u wait to long you loose the potency. Pick the amber ones and let the others grow.

if the majority of the pistils have gone brown chop it, the problem with waiting for the trichomes to turn amber is that some strains dont do this so you could be waiting for ever. The difference in quality wont be that noticable, as there are many other variables that will effect the final product, dont worry too much about it.

I'm unsure you know what you're looking at.

Hairs/pistils turn red or brown as the flowers mature.(Other colors occur in some strains, but mostly the colors mentioned.)

Trichomes/crystals turn cloudy and then amber, from clear.

I'm inclined to suggest you wait, as most strains don't really mature outdoors in North America until October. Until then, watch the trichomes for cloudy and amber heads.
