I feel like a shithead but the only thing I can say is that you plants look so fucking good! You should be very proud of yourself! Can't wait to see the yeild of these plants!
LOL No worries bro i appreciate the kind words and that you kept stopping by... Yeah i think i am going to be happy with the overall outcome and if i get a few beans it will be even better... i am really keeping my fingers crossed for at least 4 - 5 zips from this one. I'll take some comparison pics before i cut with like a water bottle or something cause these things are way big...

How was the smell when you were growing her out? I heard they have a low oder?
up until about the 7th week there was little to no smell and then after week 7 it did start to get a little more pungent and more of a MJ smell.... But no where even close to how smelly some of the other strains i've done in the past... the NL#5 is great on that aspect for indoor growing...

Nice Journal LG420, I just got done reading it from start to finish. I've been looking for a good NL5 thread. I just put my last bag seed clone into the flower room a cpl of days ago and I'm getting ready to to start germinating some NL5 seeds I got from High Grade Seeds. I can't wait to get away from the bag seed and start growing some high grade bud.

This is the description from High Grade Seeds.

Pure Indica

Northern Lights #5 is the state of the art hybrid in cannabis breeding with over 25 years of selected inbreeding. This strain is synonymous with ease of growth, strong hybrid vigor, high yield, low odor, fabulous taste and a superb high that has made it the #1 selling strain of all time. And is ideal for all growers especially those who prefer shorter bushy plants and is a perfect strain for smaller indoor growing spaces. Fast finishing time with highly frosted resinous buds. a super smoke!

I'll be hanging around to see how this ends.

Peace.
You will love Highgrade seeds strains! They never disappoint me.

Lightguy: That nug at day 65 is mouth watering =O Good stuff

Yeah it seems High Grade Seeds is the only place I could find that carries that strain with out it being crossed with something else.

Had to trim up some of the dry yellow stuff..didn't want it to mold or anything in this heat wave we're having in ca. right now... also got my TDS meter today and realized my ppm was way toooo high, but i am cutting this weekend so i am not to worried about it... so final day will be Day 68 or Day 69. :hump: lol

God damn bro u looking good. I hope mines come out this good. Let me know what you harvest.

Dang Mang 3800 ppm! At least I know now that strain can take some abuse. I noticed they were a little burnt from earlier pics but I didn't want to be the guy that told you what you probably already knew. :cuss:

What about the distance from the tops using that 400 watt?

lol i know, right? yeah this strain can take a lot that's for sure....lol Yeah once i saw the yellowing that is what prompted the quick hunt for a cheap ppm meter... My last grow did the same thing towards the end and i now know why. I had been a little lazy and skipped my last res change.... oops..lol that is one thing from doing DWC for so long that changing the res is such a tedious task... however now that i know i will be back to sucking it up and changing the res every other week... looking to get a water chiller for the next round to because my water temps were getting a little to warm for my likings... Also gonna try building a 4 bucket Under Current DWC system... Oh and almost forgot again..lol i had the light about 8"-10" off the main tops...

yeah I know what you mean by having problems with getting your ppm's straight I've burnt up a cpl of plants in my setup as well This bag seed I'm growing now can't take high ppm's I'm currently running around 650 ppm and I wont go any higher than that.

I bought a chiller for my last two grows because my closet temps were in the high 80's to low 90's and my res temps were like 86* This time around I'm not using the chiller because I finally got my closet dialed in.

I bought a cool tube and a 530 cfm exhaust. Now my closet temps are way down to 76 to 81* at the canopy and between 70 - 75* at res level. When I put my hand on the bucket it feels nice and cool. So now I'm confident I wont have anymore problems with the res temps getting out of control.

Are you running a cool tube or just a regular hood? Because 8"-10" seems a little to close unless your running a cool tube.

Peace.

Well it is an air-cooled reflector and i have a 4" inline fan set up just to pull air through it and then i have a 400CFM 6" inline that i have pulling out heat from the canopy of the my tent... yeah i will start flower at like 800ppm and then try to maintain it around 1350ppm through the grow... i like to hit them a little hard but def not as hard as i hit this NL#5..lol but that was all because i had no way of knowing... and yeah since i went to the tent i notice my temps def increased and during the summer months my res was getting up to around 80-82 degrees which is no bueno in dwc... so i figure if i get the chiller and just keep it on stand by then if my temps get up there again i will have something to regulate with... lol how much you want for the chiller Drop..? lol j/k
