How much to start growing..

of course you CAN use MG and get good results but they won't be the BEST so before you say my information is inaccurate think again and also of course you CAN spend 100 dollars on a grow but what you won't get is TOP QUALITY consistently. If you are using MG you are putting your own foot in your mouth because you have no right to tell me ANYTHING about growing. - you seemed to jump on an angry level of rebuttal instead of happily stating what you find false about my statement you got all hostile you are a grade a mg jerk
Not angry just proving a point because you obviously dont know what you are talking about.I might be a mg jerk but i grow good buds so call me a mg good bud jerk.

Im not trying to get shit up.Im just letting it be known you can grow cheap and still succesful with what you are trying to accomplish and i would be damned to hear otherwise because Ive did it myself.

About a grand to do it right. But I started with as little as $5

$5 - The price of a small bag of soil. the sun is free

In fact, I suggest you start out cheap. The thing is, gardening is work. Youll have to spend time in feeding, mixing, transplanting, spending, nutrient math, pests and insects, over watering, pH, organic or hydro, NFT, ebb and flow, aeroponics, scrog, dwc, dodging the laws-- people get tired of it.

That being said, you can get a perfectly adequate yeild for $300-$400. If you use compact flouorescents or t5's, and if you make your own hydro table. Also, youll have to go cheap on the nutrients, and you might have to use bagseed unless you can get a good deal. Just be creative. Usually there is a cheap and effective solution to most gardening problems

Yea sorry man that all seems too complicated for a beginner and small time operation like mine at least.

I have an 80 dollar budget give or take I just need to know what specific brand and type of soil and type of light fixture
First off, you can get a lot of stuff at home depot, but if your is anything like mine (i live in las vegas, so we have "big city" selection) you dont want to buy your HID (HPS or MH) lamp there. The only ones I saw when I went were ones made for driveways and garages and shit, and they didnt come with ballast. I mean you could use it but you'd have to wire it yourself. But this was like 5-6 years ago so IDK.

I just wanted to make a point about spending a lot of money. Those who say that cheap is a bad idea have a point. You should at the very very least, buy a good light. And a good CHEAP light is gonna cost $150 for like a good 200watt CFL grow light (not the weaker ones you get at home depot. YOu could go that route but youd need more lights). Hell you could get a 250 watt HPS for $150, then grow like two plants in a Scrog system and get bumper crop for the effort.
Also, you really should get some type of fan or venting system - about $30-$50
And you should get some decent nutes. Im not even gonna try and tell you what kind you should buy cause thatll start another fight, but it'll cost about $20
Pots- You can get grow bags for .10 a peice but pots cost anywhere from .99-how ever much you wanna spend. I suppose you could buy a solid gold pot..
Soil/medium- This depends on how many plant and what type of system your growing in. Soil generally cost more. You could spend a lot of money on soil. Id suggest if your a broke foo like myself, that you use rockwool, and make yourself a simple ebb and flow (flood and drain) table. If you make it from scratch itll cost you about $30-$50 to do it right assuming you have drill or a friend you could borrow one from.
Finally, youll probably use tap water at first, but depending how your local tap water is, youll want to purchase R/O water, how ever you do that. I have to lug around the 5 gal bottles..

SO...Yes, i have started gardens with $5 and for the most part theyre right, you reap what you sow. So this is about as cheap as Id waste my time with at this point in my life

im not trying to one up i said what i had to say and wyteberrywiddow continued, that is out of my control. back on topic You can grow with soil and the sun im talking about what you have to spend to get a legit indoor setup. wyteberry widdow says my point exactly when its seems it is the opposite of his point. you guys just have to interpret it however you want. I think it is funny how he is saying i don't know what I'm talking about when he is the one growing with and promoting growing with MG what a tool

and by leaving that comment you are trying to engage in an internet fight so it is redundant to say otherwize, we all know I'm not shy when it comes to rhetoric so go ahead leave a rebuttal so i can crush it like the rest of them.
