I didn't have scissors on me so I tried to pluck off one of the fan leaves by just pinching it and I accidentally pulled a decent size strand of the the main stalk off! Shit!

A decent size strand of what? You meant like you peeled it like a piece of celery or did you just rip you main stem in half? More detail or pics.

It probably won't be a problem. It will live. Maybe some leaves will brown and fall of, but it can live with a pretty big damage in that category.

dont worry about it dude...done that plenty of times... no harm no foul. if your plant is healthy it shouldnt even notice.

oh thats not such a problem. It'll probably stress it out, but it'll recover. If you want, you could bury the plant up to the leaf you pulled (if thats possible) with soil and itll probably grow roots lol. If you want, you can cover the stem with gardening mesh to protrect it from direct light for a while.

Okay thanks all I feel like I overreacted a little bit but went it comes to my plants it's like their my children so sometimes it seems like the slightest thing is a big deal.

Always pull leaves off in an upward direction. toward sky . dont pull down. dont duck tape it either. just let it be, it will turn brownish where the scar is. if you have any super-thrive.., mix some ( according to label) with your next watering.
