No i havnt even started to look into that. I dont want to get started messin with that until i get my rooms and ventilation the way i want. Then ill def look into c02 if its gona double my yeilds. Thanks for the info. I did not know that it had that big of impact on growing. What are the prices c02 systems run?
A lot of people start with the CO2 tanks which can be refilled at local shops in your area. These will typically range from $100-300 pending on what size you get, and refills are around $40-80. This all adds up over time tho, so most people who want to take CO2 seriously will end up buying a CO2 burner kit (propane or natural gas burning). My greenhouse for example does not have the room for such equipment, but it is air sealed, so I can time release some CO2 in there with tanks and with the sun as my light source, it will make a huge difference. Same with indoor.
I agree with what wetdog says about ventilation being a big factor. Good airflow/ventilation is supposed to be an equally important factor as your lighting. CO2 really can help double yiels tho. It depends. But in most cases. The reason for this, is that while every strain has it's own genetic threshold for yield/potency, most people do not hit the 100% benchmark of full potential. Lets say you're @ 50-60% genetic potential for indoor yield @ .5-.6g per watt with pretty stony bud. If you have all your other envionmental & nutrient factors in check, and kick in the CO2, you should be able to get most strains up to 1g per watt and see a significant different in the rate of growth, as well as trich production. It's all about trying to reach that full potential. If you are an experienced grower, you may not see AS BIG of a difference, but will still make a noticeable improvement in any garden and money well spent! =)
Cheers!
