Alright I need help quick. The girls are curlin under? I tried giving a lil nutes and cal mag last night becuase of it but it did not appear to help. What do you guys thinks? I have a 1000 MH bulb going right now. SHould I try a smaller bulb til they establish?

Keep your light 18-20" above and the plants on edge of light not directly under.

Probably, why not just use some flouros of some kind for veg, they work great.

deff move that light a few feet above until you see some proper growth, 1000watts is wat to strong for seedlings

ive been looking threw your old threads and great job! f'in a man. Im starting my first grow and have one main question. how much did your 400 watt increase your electric bill? from what ive read and calcuated its gonna cost me anywhere from 20-30 extra a month during veg. i just was wondering in a real world situation. also i did some quick math and even if your plants go off at 70-80 g per plant your looking at atleast 2 lbs...sick

1000W is not too strong for seedlings. I'd get them out of those dixie cups immediatley. Those things are the devil! If this is your first grow, i'd invest in some vermiculite because it really hepls with over and under watering. Which your plants look over or under watered. But bigger pots should do away with that. It seems like the more soil you have the longer it takes for it to dry out. CFLs would probably be awesome until they had 4 or 5 nodes, but a 1000w will def. work. Take them 24-28'' away and wait until you see them start to stretch, then I'd lower it to no less than 15 just to be sure. I use a 400w mh and my plants are like 10 or 12 inches away, but then again i have a 400cfm pulling in AC'd air....

Where I live, in the summer, the electricity bill is nearly doubled solely due to high demand. As of sept 26th or somethin the KW/hr cost is literally cut in half. An extra 20-30 bucks will def. pay off in 3 or 4 months dont you think?

update guys. I am 4 1/2 weeks into flower. I have taken 2 more out of veg and put to flower the other day. Things are truly looking up in my opinion. Everyone is happy and aiming to the sky. Honestly never really had such a good group of healthy lookin plants. Let me know what you think. When should i start using gravity? Has anyone used that nute before?
