Hi guys, I got a little leaf problem:evil: I do not think it's over watering since the drip is off :-?
I'm 11 days into flowering (Arjan's Haze 1)
I'm growing 2 plants, only the bigger one is affected

My thread is: 'my first hydro w. pics) in the hydro forum. All grow info is there.

About 15% of mid-sized growth seems to be affected:cry:

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

looks like over watering.
I know, I'm with you, but the drips are off and I have about 3.5 feet of root mass that's hanging in the res anyway:confused: Airstones and all are in there as well.
My other plant (same strand) has the drips on during lights on and I have no such problems:-?

Any thoughts?

if your other plant is the same strain, andi it has drip on during lights on, and there are no problems, why dont you do the same for your problem plant?

You are definately doing a good job of taking care of them, ... even in that you are making sure to keep a thread open and ask many questions! I hope someone helps you to ditch that leaf problem.

I wish I could.

Hi Yak, thanks for stoping by:bigjoint:
The reason I'm not is cause I'm almost certain that with that much rootmass in the res I will not have a underwatering issue. I can't help to think that they are overwatered, I just don't know what to do about it:confused:
It may not even be a big deal, but since it's my first grow I don't know anything, drives me mad:mrgreen::joint::mrgreen:

As to keeping a thread open... I just feel that I'm not going to learn much in this world if I'm not asking questions, plus I hope that others that are more shy than me can learn with me. I love the access we have to so much information.

Keep stoping by, it ought to get more interesting once buds show up:mrgreen:

OK, Imade myself get up last night at 3AM to check my lights on temps. Lights are on from 9pm to 9am. I couldn't believe it, it was only 74 at the canopy and 64 at the base of the plants. I have a strong suspicion that's my problem, I'll start to draw inside air (from house) during night times, that way I can hold temps of 71 - 82.

On the posetive side I noticed the first pistils (I think), I'll post a pic!

Man, I'm suprised they even went into flower with these temps :(
I sure hope they won't herm out on me.

OK guys, here is an update on my leaf problem!
It'is getting worse in a hurry!:evil::confused::evil:

So I ramped my research up another notch, and here is what i came up with:

I think I may have a MG & Fe defficiancy (check out the progession of this problem on the new pics)

I didn't come up with this myself, others with lots more experiance have pointed this out, and it made sense to me.

I have foiliar sprayed the affected plant with a solution of Cal-Mag, Penetrator & Green+Stay

I'll post updates to let you know if it works!!!

Peace :peace:,

Unity :bigjoint: (that's what I'm gona do now!! f all this stress, and they said it was a weed, lol

I have read through the thread and I believe I may be able to assist you with the problem. Sounds like your plants may have one of the two problems...a lack of nutrients...particularly "K and Cu" or over fertilization all together. Do you have an ec meter? If so, this will be able to tell you if your plants are deficient or over fertilized. One thing about hydro - when things go wrong they really go wrong if you are not careful....hydro is unforgiving.....Good Luck and let me know if you have any further questions.

yes i've seen this before. sometimes the plant has growth sperts. and can lead
2 deformed leaf growth. not a big deal. are these clones or from seed, cause
if they are clones, could mean the mom is getting old.

Thanks for the replies guys, I don't think it's over fert. since my ppm if anything just drops a little daily. I think i better wait now a few days to see if my foiniar spray and the adjusted nutes will improve the problem. I think that in the last 24 hours it didn't get any worse (see pics), but could also just be me ;)

You do not have a Mg deficit.

Mg deficit looks like tip burn but,
it will occur on the serrated edge on the leaf.

I do not think you have any problems.

The light green is just new rapid growth.

The curling under of the upper leafs
is radiant heat stress from the light.
It's not good , but it's not a very big deal.

You always have to compromise with too much light on top
and too little on the bottom.

900ppm is a good load
and should be fine for the rest of the grow.

Keep the light moving.

Here is a chart for light PAR

Find the size of your bulb and try to get below 100% PAR

As you get into week 5 of flower
I recommend using 75% PAR
to preserve flavor in your buds.

I am also using combination of MH and HPS,
during the last few weeks of flowering,
with three MH to one HPS.

I am using 400W Sunmaster Cool Deluxe MH,
and 80 watts of Iguana uvb lamps.
