how to get alot of flowering spots? help the community :)

Hi just wondered if any one has any killer tips on getting alot of flowering spots, not just a cola and a few popcorn buds, but good sized, hearty buds all round! and any one else think watching pineapple express enspires you to smoke bud??

cut it early, then cut the next 2 main branches 2 weeks later then cut the main 4-6branches 2 weeks later. Then flower. Use training wire to hold them all up close together near the light. I'm by far a pro but I know that everyone who smokes my shit says "wow". This just seems to work for me, there are also more time consuming methods that im sure will yield more like putting a screen over your plant and folding all the leaves under it as they try to grow out until you have a carpet of green, then you flower it and only buds will grow through the screen. I'm too lazy to try this method. I flowered this lil 3 foot plant in my avatar with me on my knees you can see, and pulled 3.25 oz dry "MY personal best" but only been growing for 6 months and learning more every harvest.

thanks alot for the help, can i just say if i had that plant i would just cry my eyes out of happiness. I am about to start my first grow using a 250w cfl, (had a 600w hps but got too hot for my cupboard) and was just wondering, when its harvest day, is it really really exciting? or is the excitement kind if ruined because you have been able to see jjust how much bud you were going to get on harvest day. Does it ruin the suprise?? i might tell a friend to look after it for the last 3 weeks of flowering and not to show me so i get a suprise genius
