At least you're close to the water! That's the best thing I think, especially down south where the water is warmer
Lol I can't afford this either! It's my parent's house :/ I'm 21 and going to school in the same county so this is convenient for me. Since my parents aren't so down with pot but are more down with all the interest I've shown in learning to grow it/it being legal for me to do so, it works well. I just can't smoke inside the house which can be a pain when it's raining/windy/cold at night but I have decks to smoke on with the view so I'm not complaining I got these Persian parents...very old fashioned/resistant to change so it took a few years of a LOT of convincing and persuading to get this whole thing going. At least this time around, I'm using the sun so the electricity bill is not a fighting issue anymore

How are your GDP's looking? I just started growing my first one on 8/10 and I recently topped it and used the cutting as a clone. So far, so good! It really likes my 125w compact fluorescent veg bulb.

They're good, I adopted them from a friend so they were a little beat up in the beginning but they're improving greatly. Have you seen yesterday's update that I posted early this morning? There are pictures of the GDP's in there

Not much has changed except I put in a fan to just move the air inside the greenhouse a little more. This hopefully will help dry off the plants after misting.

The plants look like they are maturing, Big Blue and G.G's clone hairs are turning but the GDP babies have a while to go. I'm trying to get some roots organic as I don't have enough medium to transplant all three now and unfortunately I'm working every day all weekend as well as writing 2 papers for my critical thinking class...so much to do...well here are today's pictures:

Buds are looking sweet, must be nice to be next to the bay, like outdoor A/C.
You have probably heard you dont want to get the buds wet, it will cause mold and all.
Its the moisture that gets trapped inside. Maybe you should back off with the misting.. just my gut feeling.

I did notice you had some red leaf stems, could be a sign of stress or maybe just genitics.

You're right man, I'm going to rearrange my misting system so that its not pointed at the plants and rather, at the walls of the greenhouse. That way I can control humidity and hopefully avoid mold.

I just finished the trimming for my 1st grow indoors and the main cola on the bagseed female I called "Fedora" had white web-like mold in it but no where else on the bud. I'm sure its mold as I've seen mold like that before and I know its not spider mites because I've seen the web damage a spider mite can do as well. I don't really get it...I left it to dry the longest and there was a fan on it and the other buds the whole time...I wonder if it was because it was the last to be trimmed...it's unfortunate but I'm glad it was just that one cola. That's about a 1/4oz that will have to be turned to hash...

As for G.G clone's stems being 1/2 purple or red and 1/2 lighter green, I think it's the genetics as they are purple or red on top and the light green on bottom, perfectly split on every stem...I was thinking it was a survival skill of the plant to blend in with nature...kind of like in the ocean, the sting ray has a dark top and light bottom so predators or prey have a harder time spotting them because if you look down on it, it'll be dark like the darkness below and if you look up at it, it will blend in with the light coming from above...or am I just comparing two incomparable things...?

The stems, I dont think its a survival skill. I have turned my girls stems purple before when they were too cold at night. After an adjustment, they went half and half then after a while all green again. I could be wrong about yours though.

A couple indoor grows ago I got mold in some buds. It was winter, high humidity, so I had a fan blowing on them. I think the fan dried the buds on the outside to quickly and left the inside moist. Just my conclusion. I bought a small cheap dehumidifer and I use that with a small fan pointing away from the buds and that worked well.

Lol that's exactly the mistake I made in drying that probably caused that 1 moldy-inside cola. Oh well, I got a lot more of bud off of that plant. Thanks for the info!

Oh and that makes sense about the plants turning that color when they're cold. That plant, G.G's clone is a sativa dominant so she probably isn't too pleased with the temps at night here near the coast...but she seems to be doing well otherwise

Did some more research on the lights in my town and realized that they diminish a short distance away from the lamp posts and because the closest one to my greenhouse is over 100 ft. away, I think the ambient light is not as big an issue as I originally determined. They've been flowering despite the light. I walked into the greenhouse last night after my last post and noticed the black curtain I made fell and the plants looked absolutely fine. I may not be correct in my assumption but I think the green color of my greenhouse kind of displaced the artificial light, at least from what I could tell last night. So just to see what happens, I'm going to just stop curtaining them. I've read that the plants can take darkness with some light because well, the moon does create a lot of light when its full/near full. I wonder if its possible to flower sinsemilla successfully with the darkness period constantly being "full moon" status...? Anyone know anything about this? I'll do some more research and if there isn't any tests of this, I guess I'll be the first

Hey you, I have a little practical experience with this, but that's about it. I grow on my balcony. There's a flood light approximately 4 feet from the base of my plant that shines downward at night. And I leave the door from my apartment to my balcony open until I go to bed, thereby flooding it with even more light. And then there's the moon, and the city lights, etc. Despite all this, my (2) regular plants have flowered right on schedule and I haven't had a hermi. I think outdoor plants are more forgiving with light issues then their indoor counterparts.

My main concern is that cars pass causing intermittent amounts of light to shine near the plants...I'm not sure if this will cause problems because according to many sources here and on other botany sites, its the consistency of the light in the dark cycle that seems to make the difference in flowering...

If you have a light meter you can measure the light pollution in your greenhouse. The full moon is not an issue for photoperiodism because the amount of foot-candles produced by the moon is .o2 ft-C on a full moon. Greenhouses growing short day plants cover the walls and ceilings with Panda film to avoid outside light pollution levels above 10 ft-C. The linked article states intensity levels as low as 2 ft-C can inhibit flower initiation in short day plants.

I would post on youtube but its connected to my facebook account and I have friends on there that I don't want to know I'm growing just in case they get any stupid ideas. I created a separate account to upload videos but for some reason, youtube/google didn't email me the confirmation so to avoid time wasting, I turned to photobucket which ended up being painfully slow anyway...blah, technology

The pictures don't reveal a lot of light coming through the greenhouse. It looks like you will be just fine. If you do have a light interruption problem you will see your buds stretch and elongate at the tips.

Thanks for info on what to look for! I haven't heard that bit before but I'm going to do some more research on it!

I've looked around my place and I don't have any but I've been asking friends and I think 1 is going to let me barrow a large green tarp she has for camping, hopefully that would be an easier kind of cover if I do get to use it
