could it be the pH? i use "pH balanced" nutrients and I tested it today and it looked like it was around 6.0 - 6.3, added a bit of pH down too.

Yeah definitely looks like it. 5.5-6.5 is the boundaries you want to stay within. 5.8 is perfect.

The little plant is a different project. Here's a few more, better pics of the plant in question.

My friend who begged me to let him bring over that plant, swears it's a female but I am really skeptical. I think he's just in complete denial that it's a male plant despite me showing him all the replies on here.

I think it *might* be a hermie and the pics I posted before didn't really show the bud sites. It does have what appear to be budding sites which I thought only females had, but the "balls" on the plant scream "male."

I hate to say it but you have a male. Take it to another room far away from any ladies you might have and let it grow(by its self). You can make some hash out of it. Thats what I do and its better than throwing your hard work away!

That is a male, tell your friend we're sorry and to try again, next time with more than 1 plant or from fem seeds or clones.
