That's a good point. Something like a mandatory firearms safety course or the equivalent of a driver's license would make sense, but most of the purists would consider that unconstitutional I would imagine. What do you guys think? There aren't that many words in the second amendment, so most of it would be up to interpretation. Most gun owners I know are very responsible and safety minded, but I've come across a lot of idiots
And I'm not sure kids need less math or actual school....you know, education and stuff. Exactly the opposite actually. I don't think you can teach common sense in a classroom.
And also, basil marceaux does raise a good point about nutcases owning guns. The second amendment doesn't make exceptions for the mentally ill, so are laws that prevent them buying guns unconstitutional...?
