So I went out and spent about 100$ on a bunch of crap I didnt need because I had no clue wtf i was doing. Some of the stuff is still usable in my situation but some isnt. I bought 2 250watt Halogen lights with ballasts, 2in and 6in rockwool cubes, a 2 plant constant drip system, net post, PH tester, PH up and down, and bag of quickgrow and quickgrow bud hydro fertilizers. So I ended up killing my shitty bagseed plants in the bottom of my closet.. im sure im not the first to do it so get that sh*t eatin grin off ur faces, lol jk...

this time i plan to do it right, but i could use a little help on what to spend my cash on..

Im going to do do this in a Standup wardrob closet, made of 3/4in oak so it should be really sturdy. Measures 36in(wide)x21in(deep)x6.5ft tall, since i plan on doing all autoflowering strains for now this should be just about right.

So heres what I already have on my List..
Foxfarm Oceanic mix-$40 1.5cf
52"x25' roll of mylar-$20
1 liter of Iguana Juice-$35
Multiplug Timer-$25
$100 order from the tude
the small stuff like 5gallon buckets Ill pick up at work.
so Ive got about $380 left I need lights mainly heres the discription of what i found.

2 Lamp 2 Foot High Output Compact T5 Fluorescent Grow Light Fixture
TWO Specialty High Output Compact T5 Horticultural GROW Bulbs Included!
Compact and Powerful High Output at 10,000 lumens! (same output as a 2 lamp 4' T5HO!)
10' Grounded Power Cord - plugs into a standard household outlet and operates on standard household current (240v power cords available)
UL Listed Premium Solid State Multi-Volt Digital Electronic Ballasts! Automatically adjusts voltage from 120v (household) or 240v!
Mirror-Like Polished Aluminum Reflector is 95%+ Reflective (the best)

at $90 shipped to my door that makes it a pretty good canidate if its what im needing..

any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated

I'd suggest a 400-600w hps cool tubed. Good prices around. The 600w has bulbs that put out 95,000 lumens! Nearly 10 times more. One shouldn't put a big dent in your budget. My cab build i'm doing now is near the same size as yours, i bought a 600w hps for a sog setup. Just please never use those halogen lights again. Way too hot and wrong spectrum and blah blah blah... If you want to use t5 fluoros i'd say go for it!! To each they're own.

cool, Ive been researching and I can get a 400 watt hps with hood and ballast included for about $140.. I appreciate your help

anything else i should be looking into besides a ventalation system and carbon filter?

Fuck 380 for a light is about right. I went to HTG, and if you can deal with not having all name brand stuff then its not bad. I got a 400 watt hps/mh switchable light and ballast, comes with two bulbs, a free timer, and a cheap looking but effective hood for $164 +s/h (i upgraded and went with a 6in air cooled hood for an extra 80$).

You should go with a switchable 250 hps/mh setup.
Your gonna get more lumens and theyre pretty cheap too.

Since you already know about HTG, i gotta tell you how much an air cooled hood helps with growing in a small space. I can keep a 400watt mh light 10 inches away from my plants which gives me almost 38,000 lumens (optimally).

I bought this with the package too, which helps a WHOLE lot.And will help down the road with smell issues

But you should really pop for something aircooled.
