Generally not a fan of specifics when it comes to internet forums; more a fan of ambiguity and anonymity.

hey man nice grow i just got done goin through your thread . I grew some g13 pure gold, hawiian snow outside last year they were germinated in february and harvested in November. I harvested about 12 ounces of dried bud, by the looks of what you got going on u should yield a pound no problem, and not to mention i had spider mite problems and bud rot, lets just say im growing in the same environment as u exactly the same

I think you're right dude. I went out there yesterday, and there are these little white balls everywhere there is the problem.
It's not bad right now, just randomly on branches of a few of the plants...so it probably is caterpillars....good call.

I wouldn't be surprised if this G13/Haze takes until mid-October to finish. It's a slow budding plant for me, although they are becoming more filled out as the days go by. There seems to be higher percentage of the Hawaiian Haze than the G13...which I guess in the end is the kind of high I want anyway.

Just setup the bucket reservoir system.
I basically have this system watering my plants for the next week or so:

Its something called "Global Buckets" these kids did for a school project, and are now marketing it for cheap third-world vegetable applications.
My reservoir watering system is just one normal bucket, Bucket 1, filled with 2 1/2 gallons of water.
Bucket 2 has the holes at the bottom, like in the video, minus all the add-ons.
Also minus the 3 and 1/2 inch hole in the middle, and minus covering the top with a black plastic bag but instead with wood mulch.
Bucket 2 is just the plant in a soil mix. Bucket 2 was slowly and gradually lowered down into Bucket 1.
After the buckets were all settled, I watered the 10 plants 12 gallons of plain water. They seemed supersaturated, as water was trickling out where the two buckets meet at the top. Also applied a new layer of wood mulch on all the tops, then placed 1 gallon milk jugs on top of the newly applied wood mulch at the top of the bucket.
Pricked a hole at the bottom of the jugs, on the sides and the top, to let air in to fill the vacuum created by the slowly trickling water.

Man upper 90s all this week...and no rain in the foreseable future.
That's depressing as hell, as I'm away for the next week or so.
Temps this time of the year should be in the mid 80s here, not the high 90s.
I'm praying that the water bucket reservoir system I setup, along with the additional water jugs and additional mulch layers, will be able to hold out until I get back next week.
And exactly where are those idiots that claim global warming is a liberal conspiracy now???

dude what about them gel water release things were u cut one side of it off and you plug them into your soil says good up to 30days but im sure a week would be ok................im sure will get something from this hurricane...i hope.......... o ya i miss counted the days of flowering im actuality in..the beginning of the 6 week so ya

Very nice BSK, 6 weeks down, only a few more to go hopefully!
I'm not as optimistic about any rain possibilities however.
For whatever reason, where these plants are located is the driest place in the western hemisphere outside of the southwest.
Average rainfall for the last 4 months should be approx 4+ inches/month, but in each month, we've averaged just 2 inches and change. Couple that with average temps that have been running 10+ degrees over normal temps, and that equals covertly humping out a lotta water...and then fretting about dying plants when I can't get out there.
I can see why the Emerald Triangle in Cali is such a great place to grow outdoors. Decent soil, decent temps for longer flowering strains, and abundant rain. Yes, I'm officially jealous.
I'd sure like to live out in Cali and grow, but paying 2-3 times more for pretty much everything (food, housing, taxes,etc) seems tough to adapt to.
Anyway, the Sour Diesel should be done in about 3-4 weeks, the G13/Haze, probably 2-3 weeks after that.

Love the thread man....plants lookin good too....Boy you gotta love to hate this South Carolina weather....HOT, HUMID, and this year wet as hell!!! love hearin of people in South Carolina growin....cant wait till i can just grow it in rows in the back yard!!!! you aint lyin about the clay soil either man...u damn near have to grow it all in pots around here...lol....Good luck with the harvest man hope it all goes well...and if ya got any seeds u wanna spare id love to get a few....lol..ive been too paranoid to order em lately...ive been askin people around here if they got any seeds in any of the KB there gettin and i think im surrounded by dumbasses cause everyone looks at me like im crazy and says..."its not possible to have seeds in KB man"..bunch of retards!!! lol....But If you know any reliable seed banks let me know cause im tired of this bagweed im growin i wanna start a dank generation!!!

The plants survived 10 days without me watering them or tending to their needs. A fair amount of dead leafage, but no more than I would have seen in 10 days time otherwise.
Damn caterpillars really took over 3 of the Sour Diesel while I was gone, so I harvested two of the worst ones, and left the third for Monday. A few bud sites on the two harvested Sour Diesel were really damaged by those damn caterpillars. I've even been picking them off while I've been clipping tonight.
Good news is that the other 7 plants have no signs of caterpillar damage.
The G13/Haze look great; buds are forming nicely and getting really thick. So happy to see that. Even the one G13/Haze that I experimented on with Gerbollic Acid is recovering nicely and forming a nice cola and thick buds. That was a real surprise.
After I harvested the two Sour Diesel, I removed the two bucket reservoir system I put in place, just to see how much, if any, water was left. To my surprise, there was about 2 1/2 cups of water left at the bottom of each bucket...so it worked!
The soil was still wet 2/3 up the root ball after removing it from the bucket, and the top layer was moist.
Man, I have a lotta cutting and clipping to do. I'll update with pics soon.

Almost done trimming the two Sour Diesel. I discovered a cheap way to protect your thumb from scissors that aren't Fiskers...will include pics of that and what the trimmings look like in a few.
