Yes and no. In jury trials, the jurors will be very much biased in favor of prosecution. In most people's head the logic is that if you're being dragged to court and charged with a crime, you're probably guilty of something and tend to believe the cops over you in most cases. It becomes very difficult to dispel that prejudice. Bottom line is your word is usually not as good as that of a police officer in the eyes of your average juror.

If the cops want to take you to jail you’re going. The best thing you can do is comply or you’ll probably wake up all black and blue and beat to shit. Fight it in court not on the street.

Its the same in the USA, except our punk ass young cops have guns, and will shoot you.
That is how it works in the perfect world, unfortunately reality is far from perfect. Plenty of innocent people spend lifetimes behind bars.

yeah i must even tho our police force are cunts i am glad i dont live in usa. from what i have read/ heard the police can get away with pretty much what they want there including using tasers as compliance "helper" rather than defense
while it does get broken occasionally here the police mostly uphold their "duty of care" while your in custudy

Yeah, some are all right. Just like not ALL protesters are violent. And same goes for anything. Don't judge all the same because the idiocy of some.
BUT, that being said. They should know and be completely aware of all the laws they enforce. Especially being that there is a Oath they normally take..
The one thing really pisses me off is how our armies in war aren't allowed to use tear gas and sound weapons and the such in times warfare(against international law). And yet our own police. Some of them probably even unknowlingly related to the very same people they're quelling. Will use these methods against their own genuinely concerned citizens. With usuaully zero accountability too. Because most Police during protests wear face masks...

Wow I was high and said fuck the police and now we have 2 pages of politics most cops are assholes my dad got busted by undercover cops and he tried to run and ran over federal agents got 15 years he was selling pot and coke they talked him into selling crack which everyone in my family was telling him stop selling to them there undercover noone buys everything they were buying guns too ive had alout of trouble with the cops to and most the time they dont really look at the facts or cut people breaks when they really did nothing wrong my grandpa is in jail for 6 months JUST because he saw his ex wife in the grocery store he didnt even say a word to her he has never hit her or never would he but yet a drug dealing asshole I know who snitches and has a warrent for his arrest just because he knew the cop as a kid the cop let him go the laws are fucked up

while i say fuck the police, i say that with regard to what they sometimes have to enforce, not necessarily at the person th)emself. And anyways, the dumb human not knowing what his rights are (again, not so much dumb people as they've been conditioned otherwise).
