Ghetto Eligable?!!


This is my first grow, growing 3 Unknown Indica strains 21-24 days from sprout.
18/6 for 21 days
Switched to 12/12 about 3 days ago

(6) 23w 2700k CFL's
(3) 27w 5000k CFL's
(2) Large Home depot boxes taped together
(1) 4" Exhaust fan
(2) 76mm computer Exhaust
Also a Window A/C, with a wall mounted 4" Intake fan, Taped to 4" x 8' Aluminum ducting into box, with another 4" inside blowing up at lights and plants (haha, hope thats not confusing)

Lights: About 1-2" from plants, so far no burning
Temps: 77-81 Day
68-75 Night

Other then that will post some pics of the plants pretty soon

I bought mine frm a local smk shop n paid 30bucs. Then 3 days later i went to tha Shack to price some cooling fans for my DIY grow cab and saw it for $12.99. Need less to say i fell real stooooopid.

This is (4) CFL 68 Watt (300 Watt Equivalent) "They are really large compared to the reg. CFL's you see at the grocery store. They sell at HD for under 20. The light fixture is made from a dryer vent from HD. Low Heat & Cheap. If you had to get rid of it in a hurry oh well.

no, dont do that!! they are only 12 volts and about an amp or so, you need to wire it to a 12v adapter, like an old phone charger or an old power supply for a printer or something like that. you can also use an old computer power supply, if you go back a few pages here, i showed how to do this step by step. its post number 1402.

yea i tryied that last time with the phone adaptor, there are 3 wires what do i do with the third ?? nothing ??

i hooked it up to the phone carger and had smoke and shit coming out cause the wires were touching and the smoke allarms work lol!!!

you should be able to hook the red wire of the charger to either the red or yellow wire, the red wire is usually for 5 volts and the yellow is for 12 volts on most computer fans, you can try both and see if they turn the fan at different speeds. as for a grow box, i use a u-haul grand wardrobe box, the $13 at any u-haul moving storage place. it has a metal bar that runs across the top to hang your lights from. cardboard works great as you can cut hole very easy and just tape them back up if not needed. check out my grow in my sig, plenty of good ideas there, LoL. any questions, just ask.

4 of these ?>>> pics down bottom bulbs 4 x 30w that 120w of cfl that good for 5 seedlings for 1-3 weeks ??

forgot to say, can i pug fan into didernt wires and use whateva speed i want, like if i plug into yellow it goes faster and red goes slower, so can i use the red ??

the lamps are ok for seedlings, but a 6 plug power strip and some plug and bulb adapters would be better as you can use them through the whole grow. remember, cfl's emit the most light from the sides, not the end of the bulb. but use the lamps if you already have them for now. the red wire from your power adapter should power either wire on the fan, the 2 wires are jsut for more or less power from a computer power supply. try red to red and black to black first. hope i dont blow your fans up man, LoL. oh also, if there are 2 black wires on the power adapter, the one with the white stipe would go to the red or yellow power wire.

i cant find those y adaptos or those other adaptors but i do have the power strip lol. but i can use a lamp with the y adaptors aye

i take it your not in the states? they are at any lowes or home depot and maybe walmart. but yes, you could put the Y's in that lamp, that would get the bulbs out of the cover on the lamp.
