I'm not sure I follow. You're doing a perpetual soil grow as well? And yes, kudos to cool broads. Some women have that "I want what I want no matter how unreasonable it is" gene.lol.

Ah, ok. I've done a perpetual "system" in the past. I usually take clones 3 weeks before harvesting the flowering chamber, give them time to root a week, throw them in the veg chamber for the next two weeks, and then in the flower chamber they go right after the ripe girls are out. The trickiest part to going perpetual, for me anyway, was also the timing. If you can have a consistent time frame with your clones (making sure they all root relatively the same time, and are able to determine for sure how long that takes) it's cake from there. A good strain to start with should be something you've had prior experience with and know everything about as well.

im on the same schedule, i usually find my issue being that after the two week veg they go in the tent but they get shaded out by other plants, also its hard to run it multi strain because of all these different flowering times i have.

That problem can be helped by a shorter veg time after the clones have rooted. Instead of 2 weeks veg, just one. When growing perpetual, uniformity in each generation is key. That being said, running multiple strains that greatly differ from one another isn't the best choice either. I'm not assuming you have wildly differing phenotypes, but a huge variety isn't really that great for this sort of thing. It's entirely possible, but matching one set of genetics together with another so the whole perpetual thing works out together can be a major head ache... Indica dominant strains do well in this system because of their naturally short stature, short flowering period and often times their predictability. Going for a Sativa perpetual isn't impossible at all, it's just not optimal for this route. Given their stretchy nature and generally long flowering times it can be a pain in the arse keeping up. Just a few thoughts. What have you got going perpetual right now?

Every strain in my sig plus a few crosses of my own will be in and out of flower perpetually. lst helps alot with a sativa im running now(dazey jones) and it helps with the stretchier strains.. but all in all its a pain in the brain trying to find spots for strains towering over others n what not. most of my strains are indi dominant btw.

I can see how bothersome it must get in there trying to manage phenotypes of all kinds, that and LST going on. I would go haywire from time to time making it work too man. Making the most out of a space can be complicated at times and adding 9+ strains must stress you OUT. Major props to going at it balls out and working it all down. I've only worked with 2-3 at a time perpetually. Last perp rounds were just Bubba Kush and Purple Urkle. I went bananas trying out different phenos until I just said fuck it and went with what I KNEW would be best lol. It's been a while since running a set up like that so I'm over due to test my wits again. Any new strain suggestions ?(I'm old school and boring, I try to keep up with new shit but I'm still learning what else is out there.)

So check this out. I went to the hydro store around the corner just to pick up one of those Ozium spray timer thingys. Mine decided to stop working and I need it. I thought I was mid sleep or something when I looked at the price; $64.95. . Last time I bought one of those a while back it was something like $30. I think that's still a little steep for just a little battery powered plastic thing that holds some fragrance. Needless to say I said fuck it, went to walmart and I found the same thing with Glade already in it for 20 something. I know most things at your local hydro shop are marked up and yada yada but almost 70 bucks? C'moonnn man. I just got a great hybrid called Sweet Cheese and it makes me feel like rambling. Medicated, done. -HMD

PS: I don't use that glade crap I took it out and put my Ozium in. Glade is gross and doesn't do anything.

It's been a while. Things are plump and juicy :hump::hump:. Many many frosty tops on the two BDH, each nug fat and happy. I cut G13 early because I wanted to. Don't worry, I saved a couple cuttings. The Black is filling out to be this monster of an Indica and I can't wait to see her finish. Calyx upon calyx stacked from bud to bud and swelling each and every day. Such a robust plant, I must say. And an amazing fruity scent as would expect with a purple. Though she hasn't gone purple:? (yet), I'm not worried one bit as she shows great promise. God Bud has slowed down her resin production some(NOT much) and started filling in those gaps with more rock-like compact heavy nuggets of joy. She'll definitely be a winner. All in all, everyone is still happy. Approaching week 7.

Chopped her yesterday. I didn't take any pics but I suppose I'll do so later on so everyone can see. She was just this tiny thing compared to her sisters. I accidentally fed her the same nutrient mix as everyone else last week instead of the lighter mix I had her on and she burned up something fierce. I didn't feel like waiting on her to fully recover after I flushed so I did the deed.

@ wyteberry - Thank you. I think we'll all enjoy the chop :D..

@PH - BM looks just fine IMO. You're not so far along that you shouldn't try to fix her. Mission abort should be reserved for a lost cause. What seems to be the major issue?

That cal/mag/overfert/lockout issue really messed up the leaves. Id say a good 80% of them are yellow and feel crisp to the touch. I know that once theyre like this its hard to recover, but theyre not falling off the plant, so hopefully some energy is still getting to the buds. I'll take some pics of it in a couple days, but be prepared for a nasty looking plant lol.

If you corrected the problem, which you'll notice when new foliage starts to pop up and look healthy, the worst is probably over. Figure a week+ for full recovery, and a few days+ to get back up to snuff. I honestly don't think you've fucked up business too bad Purple. It isn't too late to try and stay on top of the problem. From what you're saying and what I remember of this problem when I tried to help trouble-shoot you seem to be OTW. Keep in mind : what has burned up and been damaged during this little tiff won't just be normal again and start regrowing leaf blades, it gets replaced. If you're looking at the already affected foliage for signs of recovery, look at the younger stuff instead. It's a better indication as to if what you've been doing is the right thing. IE : The newer stuff is there to replace what was screwed off and if it looks normal things are back on the right track. IDK, just my two cents. Blitzed to holy hell on a nice Blackberry Kush/Bubble hash joint to round off the Sunday. Cheers to it all :D :D :D
