Rate My Setup - NEWB - first grow, lots of equipment

i have lots of equipment as you can tell, i got everything thats in red from a friend for a half ounce of amazing purple kush that came from out in BC somewhere thru a friend. i could use some advice on lots of things, for starters my equipment mainly.. lots of options. i am doing all of this in a room in my basement thats 15x12x7.5... please follow along and help me out as i progress thru my first grow. thanx in advance



LIGHTING

lol ya lots of work and constructing things.. have to get a ventilation system set up and a shit load of mylar to cover the walls, then some space blankets to create seperate tents for each area

I'm thinking of starting a small indoor grow in the next few months. Probably 250w since I really only grow for hobby and personal.

Don't waste your money on mylar man. It's hard to work with and expensive. Panda film works just as well for half the cost.

havent herd of panda film. but ya i havent looked into the cost of mylar.. someone on here told me about mylar space blankets and they are only like 4$ at wal-mart apparently so mayb i will just buy a bunch of those? either that or i will paint the room flat white.. kinda need to paint n e ways, but that would involve me moving everthing out of the room because of the toxins so trying to use that as my last resort.

Panda film is the black on one side and white on the other plastic sheething you see everyone using. Even a crappy grow shop will have it.

they arent, but they will be flushed on the 28th so very very soon.. but ya the fan leaves> i didnt realize i needed them as "sun leaves" me being a newb and all i thought the bud was what needed all the light so i cut the leaves off. its doing fine tho, but could have bin better now that i know. i asked the question after i cut them off haha, so that was my own fault.

ya u make this sound like a really really bad thing lol.. this is the first plant i will harvest. how much of a difference do u think it would have made if i kept the fan leaves??? i think the plants look amazing considering.. the 1000watt HPS and my nutrients has done wonders compared to friends who have done just little closet grows with CFLs

Its like taking a couple pistons out of your engine and asking why your car doesnt go that fast. Those leaves are the engines of your plant. It you keep them big, green and heathy she will reward you with her fruits.

Def. understandable! ....FUCK lol.. next ones i guess. just amazed how nice they are, now i can just imagine if i kept those fan leaves on. thanx for the tip

I had that much stuff but I was renting and don't ever grow in a open manner in a rental. At least here the landlords can walk in unannounced! So anyway I lost all the lights anyway the cops don't know what a ppm meter or hydro equip is apparently. Grow in a box like under your bed or the odd end of a closet cause a closet isn't gonna need attention. Like there's a problem they have to find you dig? I'm just starting up again first in a wardrobe then I'll build the bedframe and sog under there and then build drawers for scrogs from the sides!

that sounds dope, but no this is being renovated into a basement appartment, im helping renovate while they let me do this in the mean time, i have a full year starting october to do as i please.

space blankets suck bro.dont wast your money.they are not light tight.for a while i use car windshield relfectors but now just using extra thick black plastic "hushky" brand from walmart.the second pic is when i had windshield reflectors.kinda liked them.
