Hey i have had a problem with droopiness, twisting and discoloration of leaves and have ruled out the environmental temperature, humidity, light, i bought a digital ph tester and tested the tap water i feed them with and flush with it is 7.3 to 7.4 is this too high and cause for concern. Im am in soilless mix with perlite 40/60. any advice if the ph is alright or not thanx.

If it's just a simple perlite/vermiculite mix, coconut coir, or clay, go with 5.8 - 6.3
If it's a mix of organic matter, ie. Peat moss and forest products then go with 6.2 - 6.7

That would be my recommendation.

Good luck to you.

Could you give me a very quick thought of your idea of hydro?
i dont do hydro .. but i have grown in a soiless mix before "Not Hydro" .. i have grow homies here in L.A .. that do hydro Drain and Flood Ebb/Flow systems DWC and i see rockwool and pellets.. not a soiless mix potting mix

At any rate,....

...yep, you're a little too high, and if it's consistently high, you'll start showing deficiencies, eventually. Some nutes will be available at that PH range, and others will not. Unless you're foliar feeding as well, you're bound to have deficiencies. Listen to the hydro guys, they know what they're talking about. I grow soil, so I don't feel comfortable suggesting anything specific.

If it's soil less then it's hydro. There is no food in your medium to start with so you have to supply it in the correct dosage, Thats the whole point of it and you have more control.
