like who dictates the price shops have to sell at? it still seems like theyre running with street prices and dont seem as compationate when it comes to freebies? their cant possibly be that much overhead with it is their?

Because they can, with no competition selling cheaper - they will charge as much as possible.

Depends where you go though. Some dispensaries are owned and operated by good medical-minded people who sell medicine at much lower prices than at the hyped-up, big-named dispensaries like Blue Sky Cafe or whatever. I have a dispensary close to home that sells high grade: 1 gram for $10, 3.5 grams or 1/ 8 for $35, 1/4 for $60, 1/2 O for $110 and an O for $200. Granted, these are the best deals at a club I've seen but they definitely were some higher grade meds. I get high from 1 B-rip and that's saying something for the every day toker I am

i think thats pathetic that these shops have no regulation to charge as much as they want yet their "sales pitch" is helping and being compationate to those who are sick and in need.

maybe this should stay illegal so that everyone stops trying to come up on everyone and we all go back to smoke weed in peace and have more important stuff to worry about.

so long as prop 19 doesnt pass its up to the patients to deem what seems fit for prices.!

and for you shops DONT CLAIM COMPASSION regarding DONATIONS when the local street vendor is selling 80% of the time better product and comparable prices?

Economics man- the market price is what the consumer is willing to pay for it. As far as price difference goes, the more potent the bud, the more you can charge.

Think about it like this- it costs just as much to raise Khloe Kardashian as it did to raise Kim Kardashian . . . but a pimp can charge 4 times as much for Kim and still have more guys waiting on her than her sister, Chewbacca.

hahahahah that made my day! but agreed. but then people are very too faced over this whole weed game. mixing kindness with profiteering. and people will charge what they want because people will give in to their emotions so long as its the easiest route.

like i said its pot, im sure everyone agrees u put the seed in the ground give it some water and sun mixed with love and in a few months you will have it. its just like corn its just like wheat. if it passes either its gonna HAVE to be hella cheap before the tax or the prices will fare what they are now but the tax will be very minor.

As homegrown&smoked said, the market determines the prices and we, the consumers, are the market. If we don't pay, the cost goes down. If we are still willing to pay the high prices, even with complaining, the prices will stay high

Don't assume anyone has sense- they can't disappoint you that way. Keep in mind that some folks will buy something simply because it costs more. Sounds stupid, but they view their purchasing power as a status symbol, and I wouldn't put it past someone to simply buy the most expensive weed they could afford simply to gloat that it costs more than what someone else.

But I agree with you 100 percent- anyone with sense will look for the best value out there, and the priciest bud is very rarely the best value.

but yea u basically hit it on the nail with your response. from what ive seen it seems like the shops have 'ok' prices with the name brand stuff vs. these hybrid house mixes that seem to be the real price killers. then u got these brands that are 3x the cost of the lowest stuff and its not as good.(discovered this last week)

i wish people would be down to campaign 45$ caps. even then thats still a generous offer and i think it would balance between not having 2 faced shops and keeping patients happy. are their any sites that discuss forecasted prices if this stuff because legal?
