so unless something drastic changes (which i doubt since i have the text of prop 19 in front of me) but im voting YES FOR 19. outside of all THEIR reasons as to why it should/shouldnt be legal, heres mine.
--people say other people get cards and 'abuse' the use of it. well dispensaries are "abusing' patients by charging street prices at half the quality.
--dispensaries want to run a professional business yet from my research most dispensary employees dont know crap about sales/ customer service. im sorry to say it but most look like average pot smoking employees who dont know the true educational aspect of it. maybe im just in the wrong region of CA but if thats the case does it really need to come down to a big business showing how it needs to be done? remember right now is the perfect oppurtunity for small shops to make a TRUE impact and make a good name for themselves but they are not. they just want to rap about top shelf strains and give a free joint for helping make their 80% profit off you on that "$60 cap"
--dispensaries abuse the keyterms: donations and compassionate
--dispensaries are more concerned with their profit margins than the well being of patients.
--i agree pot can be abused and DOES alter the users mental perspective. everything else in america that does the same thing IS taxed also. im fine with that.
--if it becomes legal then big business would be forced to gain knowledge on all the strains and what they can accomplish, and not rely on some 30yr guy or 20 yr old hot chick to regurgitate "lots of crystals and dense and stinky" from google.
--if you think legal pot will destroy society because "more" people will be stonned on a daily basis your full of shit and need to go hide in a basement. i know this is a big if saying, but if the avg user has common sense they know their is still a time and place for it.
--i have yet to see anything in text that affects prop 215 patients
--if you dont want to be taxed on such a simple produce, get off your lazy ass and plant some seeds. if your the fortunate type who can afford to just buy it then hey more power to you. if you DONT want to get taxed, then stay underground and buy from your street doc.
--if your hating on regulating 5x5 grow space then your apparently growing more than you need because mathematically 5x5 sq feet has sooooo many variations!
--if this does become legal, street docs are in troubleeeee hehehe
--if this does become legal, and counties do tax that crap out of it, go buy from your street doctor since economics will show he WILL be forced to start taking the hit on prices which actually will still suit him better since his prices will be tax free lol.
--if this DOESNT become legal then our society is a tool
--if this does become legal whats the worst thats going to happen? increased revenue? more people admit to smoking pot? woopie doooo. worried about people being stoned in public? if they are i bet they can still control themselves. worried about someone driving stoned? i can bet the average person if they were too stoned wouldnt try driving like that. and if they did anyways? that still isnt any difference compared to those who are dumbass' and drive drunk now. the difference? mj doesnt hamper your motor skills anywhere near how alcohol can. try standing on 1 foot stoned and try standing on 1 foot drunk. so the arguement for stoned drivers can be a potential but i dont see the risk as many will try to say.
--if this doesnt become legal whats the worst thats going to happen? more reports on the millions of non violent drug offenses? its STILL more money for the govt. either way theyre still going to get their share from the crime convictions.
by not making this legal this just puts more of "that" failed money into their hands and not into local governments. to which our country was founded on remember?
i dare one of yall non prop 19 supporters to rebutle me. what is your arguement going to be on? small business? would your small business be one of the thousands who take advantage of cost to produce and demand to hike prices and make the bad guy street vendors prices look better?
being taxed on something were technically ''legally' allowed to do freely? who cares. this is ONLY the first step. yea it might get taxed like crazy at first but wouldnt that be one hell of a good start to get a movement going to fix those taxes for the next measure to go through? REMEMBER PEOPLE JUST BECAUSE WHATS BEING PUT ON PAPER DOESNT LOOK SMART TO MOST ITS A START AND LUCKILY IT CAN BE IMPROVED ON. and if it turns out to be a big fail then who cares were back to were we are today, the only difference is we as a society were able to stand up and unite against what we the people believe is wrong. remember ITS OUR HISTORY.
