Ive asked a few people about the funky look to the leaves...some acted as if it was normal. I knew it wasnt, thanks for the assurance. I discontinued Supernatural lineup...had a sample of botanicare cn17 grow for hydroponics so i decided to use it. I mixed with calmag, humic acid and adjusted ph....900ppm. I also treated her with some azatrol...hope i dont stress her out too much.
Just veg it out for a while and it will be fine. I've revegged plants that I got in flower before and my plant looked like that while it was revegging. Had all weird leaves and branches while it transformed back. It recovered and looked perfectly normal after it recovered.

I think i am going to do organic soil and synthetic hydro. is botanicares calmag organic?
Not sure if the Calmag is is pure organics. Ive read conflicting things like it is and it isnt. But never actually checked there site cause i dont care. One thing i know is its a great supplement id recommend it to anyone. If u use the cn17 make sure u mix it well before u add it but i was sure that cn17 was a soil less mix made for coco and such with less salt content i guess. I switched to the cn17 for coco myself. The pro series is for Hydro.

my cn17 grow is for hydro, my cn17 flower is for coco soil and my cn17 ripener is for coco soil and hydro. they are samples from an indoor garden expo.

i use calmag during veg and flower- hydroponics, indoor soil, and outdoor coco.

VERY Interesting for sure. The CN(S)17 flower i got says COCO and SOIL ur rite. Cant speak on the GROW and RIPENING u mentioned never used them. From what i have read COCO is supposed to be another form of HYDRO.... I wonder why Botanicaire would put COCO in the same class as SOIL. Maybe someone should send them an email... Because they clearly carry the PRO series specifically meant for HYDRO. EITHER way id just make sure i mixed the CNS17 in some PH'd water before dumping it in the REZ. Its thick and milky white looking. Not sure if i would want it directly on my plants roots but seems to be cool for coco. Def. less salt build up thats for sure.

after switching to new nutrients plant is taking off with new grow shoots. ph is stablizing, still requires a bit of adjusting here and there...i now am wondering about root health. my roots are getting a dark brown tint to them. i have been adding dutch masters root zone conditioner, doesnt seem to be helping. roots should be white right?!

Not necessarily cant speak for the nutes u where using. But the Pro series i mentioned does stain my roots brown its no big thing. Ive actually had roots as thick as my main stalk in the res depending on veg time. Unless ur water stinks, is getting cloudy or ur roots got slime on um u should be fine. It really doesnt hurt to put a capfull of hydrogen peroxide in the res just for preventetive maintenance. H202 will keep most nasty bacteria in check and would recommend anyone growing hydro especially DWC to use it as a precaution in the rez.

ive thought about adding h202 in res, will it kill beneficial bacteria as well? capful per 5 gal?

Yes it will kill beneficial bacteria as well, you can go as much as 11.5 ml per gallon first treatment and then 1/4 daily add backs for maintenance will sterilize Ur reservoir.Or you can add 5ml a day your choice.I have done both will no ill effect.

I guess chemical nutrients already kill beneficial bacteria right? So at most add 11.5 ml per gal of 3percent hydrogen peroxide? Just makin sure its 3 percent.

They say 3-5ml/gallon is appropriate. Ive always done a capfull/Bucket. Or a couple/Tub. Once upon set-up. And every Rez change thereafter. Ive always used the cheapest stuff i could find 3%. Knock on WOOD ive never had a problem with the stinky water, slime or gunk i see alot of peeps haveing problems with i think the h202 has everything to do with that. If ur gonna use it how the pro's recommend useing it id suggest getting a real bottle of h202 from the dro store tho. Ive always kept it real cool with my addition of h202 to my rez tho because ive always grown DWC with organic Nutez. The pro's recommendations are also based on synthetic nutes. They suggest not to use them in organic nutes. But in very small dosages i have seen no ill effects. Hope this helps. Peace.
