ive got 2 plants with spider mites. im thinking of placing them in a closed trashcan during their night cycle. then put a small CO2 paintball tank in there. open the valve just a little bit. this will make the CO2 levels get real high and hopefully kill the bugs. the only problem i can see is the old CO2 comin out might freeze the girls, but ill just point it away;-)

won't work,c02 won't do anything to them. Get some monterey's insectiside with spinosad and be done with em.

Ooh...spider mite infestation at late harvest...thats a tough one.

The only thing i can think of as a pesticide would be AzaMax. Its a strong insecticide...and it can be used up to the day of harvest apparently...

This is just what ive read on various sites and magazines. You might try it...but even then im not sure it wouldnt affect the taste of the bud.

You could vaccum all the leaves...and then apply an insecticide to the root system...to make sure they're all gone...that wouldnt affect the taste that much, and there'd be no risk of bud mold.

for insecticide for the root system, should i use neem? just spray it onto the soil, then water a lil?

Yea you might try a light spraying of aza or neem, and then a light soil drench with aza...Then flush after that for the last 1-2 wks.

Just remember to spray mostly the big leaves, not directly on the buds.

even if the buds arent that big? if i shake the plant a lil after i spray that shouldnt cause mold, right?

your buds arent that big and you're close to harvest?....

Gotta grow them big buds dude. Lol.

Like i said, try spraying the leaves more than the buds...Then shake a little.

i would do this...

Spray lightly....then do a light soil drench to kill off any eggs, etc...then light spray again after 3-7 days...then maybe another spraying of just water a few days after that. All the while watering your plants with just water.

That should eliminate the spider mites with out affecting your harvest too much...But ive never used those products so close to harvest....so i have no idea if it will affect taste/smell.

ok , u can cut the plant and put it straight away on the fridge for and hour or so if ur ambient temps are high ( like more than 23c ), after an hour check if any bastard is moving if yes put it back there and monitor the plant every half an hour , if ur place is not known of mold growing easy u can just spray ur plants with water and cut them right away , it will just delay the prosces of drying for a day or two
