like nl3004 said, everyone's thought of this.
let's break it down and maybe you'll think twice.
i'm not going to mention many numbers, of course you can make money.
if you wanted to make this anywhere near worth it you'd need a good solid humble plug(connect), which are really hard to come by, and you'd need to move truck or plane loads. the good guys keep really REALLY tight circles. think about it, a rich powerful grower that you find easily is probably going to scam you or get you killed. it's completely plausible that if it didn't take much effort for you to find the guy and gain good relations(too good to be true), that most likely he was looking for a chump to screw over to make a quick buck, and you fell for it. he's rich and powerful, why would he respect a bridge that he doesn't even need? why would he care? what could you offer him that he doesn't already have? if nothing, he'd rather burn the bridge for a quick steal. what are you going to do? call the police? the truth is very cold. you can't be an optimist and just hope it'll work out. i'm not saying that this always happens, but assuming it won't happen is just stupid.
remember that A TON of the people in the game got arrested for something stupid, and that one mark on their record kept them from getting a job. so they were forced to stay in the illegal drug game, to feed themselves or their family. 90% of these people would be better off having a stable well paying legal job, but they gave up because no one hires an ex con or felon over someone who's clean. if they're not making enough money to make it by do you think they'll just say 'if i can't make money i won't be able to buy food.....oh well at least i'm being an honest drug dealer.'? hell no! if it meant your life, wouldn't you rob or steal to stay alive? and when it comes down to it, don't you think they're willing to kill? some have no other option. so the game is naturally flooded with these people. and this is not what they planned, so they're naturally pissed off.
again like nl3004 said, if you sell grammies all day, or even zones, most likely you will run into trouble soon unless you're extremely strong willed and well disciplined. it's not a regulated market, there's not much fair play. in your post you're suggesting: 'hey i will trust you as soon as we meet as long as you tell me what i want to hear'. i'm telling you right now, that is not smart. if there's anything the game has taught me, it's that you shut the fuck up and listen. and take absolutely everything with a couple table spoons of salt. if something sounds too good to be true, 99% of the time you're right, and you'll get fucked.
i understand the concepts discussed in this thread as purely hypothetical, i'm going to pretend that you're not actually trying to make connections this way.
you need to understand that an operation this big requires a think tank, not just one person planning logistics.
with 1000 bucks you could have a decent grow, and save the risk of getting pulled over and getting 25 to life and/or a million dollar fine.
the best people in the business are the hardest to find because they know their shit front to back, back to front, side to side, in and out. they don't bite off more than they can chew. they don't involve anyone they don't absolutely need. they risk the least. they don't solicit. they're always thinking about the worst case scenario and how to avoid it. they have a back up plan for the back up plan of the back up plan. they're the type that would stuff a remote controlled full sized single engine plane, and strap c4 to it in case something happened.
most importantly, they're RARE. the MAJORITY of people you'll meet in it for money will be greedy thieves and killers. people will lie to your face then stab you in the back. sorry but it's the truth. so know your shit.
being over prepared and living a paranoid life beats a life of desperation, prison rape, or death by a long shot.
