What to Tell an Electrician I need 40 Extra Amps in My Apartment for??

Any decent cable company will not even drill through the floor to run your cable with out permission from the owner. Any decent electrician will not modify a structure that isn't yours. He will be held liable for damages.

Just say you are making the room an office with multiple computers. Look at computer power supplies and you will see anything nowadays for a good computer is 600w-1000w. My buddy leaves his computer with a 900w power supply on 24/7... That's almost there with a 1000W HPS

Computers don't actually pull that much power regularly. Only when the CPU, RAM, All 2+ hard drives and Video card are pushed to the max would you pull that much.

Yea i figured it would not be a good idea, im just gonna keep it low pro with my 600w for now till i save up enough to get my own house

Hahahahahahahahahahahahah,, nah bro that aint me, thats DJ Screw, and a tanning bed in a room in my apartment would sound suspicious anywayz regardless of my color

Dude, Im sure you have enough power there as it is, what does that pull, like 6 amps@ 110, or 3 amps@ 220 (Im rounding up here, i dont remember the actual numbers) Split the load up over a few cuircuts and you are good.

But if you do decide to do it, then do it yourself, and do lots and lots of reading first, and seek advice from peeps like regg

ok so your panel is loaded up with breakers already what you will have to do it take one of those 2 pole breakers from the top and buy whats called a quad breaker to start.. it looks to me like those 2 2 pole breakers with micheal jackson wires in it (black and white) are 20a so take one of them out and go to hardware store and buy a quad 20a.. or 2 twin 20a breakers

tha 2nd ones from tha top with tha micheal jackson wires are 30 amp, do i get quad 30 amp??

looks to me like someone put the wrong size brkr to me.. arent those wires the same sise as the ones in a 20a brkr?

after you get a breaker for your panel find me and i will help walk you thru hook up.. also you will need some 12/3 romex..
