is 250 watt mh/hps enough to grow in tent

hello guys this question may have been asked & answered already but i just wanna ask anyways : )

is 250 watt mh/hps enough to grow in a tent that is 20" x 36" x 64" with about 2 to 3 plants.
do i really need 400 watts to grow in a space like that ?

thank bro i wanted 400 watts but this kit i wanna get comes with the tent & the lights an some other stuff : )

wow this is only with 50wats led that is nice please keep me update i wanna know if led are better then what other ppl are saying.

Prepare yourself on the lite size because in due time you will want a bigger light. I thought I would be fine with a 400 watt system with a 4x6 grow area. After posting here I was talked into the 600w system and I am VERY thankful that I did.

leds are fine for veg but once you get to flower you will wish you had a hps or hid the wattage to space you are talking about sounds fine man good luck with your grow

i see your point but i really don't have alot of space to dedicate to my grow so even if i wanted to get a bigger growing space & stronger lights is not going to happen so i don't wanna buy lights that i am not going to need if i can grow my herbs in 250 watts in a small growing tent then i am happy with it.

yes i see your point led may be the future but right now they still need work agree ? plus that is alot of money just to grow plants into veg i would be going with mh/hps today

i have a small tent as well and to fix it i just got a coupla fish tanks over the years i and for the 15 gallon one i ust to start seeds or root clones and then i have a 60 gallon tank and under it i have some mothers all with cfls and i flower the clones in the tent cirrently i have a waterfarm im tryin out but this was my preivious grow i was infested with spidermites

I'm burning a 250 MH/HPS in a 2 1/2 X 2 ish space and sogging with 9 plants. I like.
A little concerned about penetration later down the road. But, I've been training them and trying to keep all even and sorta short. When they all even out to 12" or so it'll go 12/12. I may need to lolipop a bit (hope not). Hard counting, but estimate over 50 potential colas potential. Not sure how it'll end up (males?) because today / tomorrow I'll be pinchin & LSTing some more (final time?)
I say go for it.
The 250 is a lot cooler running than the 400 IMO. And I've had enough trouble cooling, anti-stinking, and venting it.

yea sure man there is a pic of the little tank when it was at my dads i built the cab under it andthere is pics of the big tank its painted white now but out of commision lol and there is a pic of the tent its set up different now ill take a vid larter and show you

WOW DUDE 9 plants in that space hahaha nice :) maybe you can add some clf's ? i know they are not the best but it is lite & cheap sort of just an idea... but yes cooling most be a pain that is another reason why i wanna go with 250 wats cause i don't think i need 400 or more at the moment. so the extra money to run those lights & heat is not worth it for 2 to 3 plants
