They've got issues, that's for sure, thanks for your concern. That's all they are doing is getting fatter, day by day, but this type of bud is know for its light and airy tendencies so I don't expect to much density from this strain...

Also, the small sampled buds gave but a small hint into the buzz that awaits... so THIS is what a known nearly 100% sativa is like!

Some of the buds that I cut were sooo very small and very very airy, they were all from very low and weren't going to amount to much more... so i thought. Some of the smallest buds I chopped have already replaced them selves with new flowers... one spot i missed a little piece and it's grown to the size of the entire bud when it was chopped! I'll not sample anymore, next bit I smoke will be from one of the colas after a short cure.

Mason jars arrived today. 12 - 24 ounce wide mouth Ball canning jars with preserving lids. This should do quite nicely
Hi Ruiner, you are quite right, Thai SS takes forever and still gives you "airy" bud. You really can't get big, fat, indica type bud from sativa. But this is made up for in the smoke! You WILL know what I'm saying in a few months.
BTW: I planted my TSS 4-1, and harvested 12-7, last year, verrrry....looooong process, but worth it.
I wish you good luck & good grow.......BB

I heard that, I started in late May and here I am in almost October still just waiting around.... and I'm in a controlled environment!

Daukness! So glad you've come by to say hi!
If you think this is good, just wait my friend, this is only the very tip of the iceberg. Beautiful indeed though, I can't believe God gave us something so splendid, and man would try to take it away... reminds me of the Tool song 'right in two' does it not you?

nice pics Ruiner..do the buds have alot of oil or do they seem dry?
Looking at the leaves you would think that they would be dried out but the buds themselves have a very oily coating that sticks to you if you touch them, afterwards you feel a tackiness between your fingers... I haven't really been squeezing them, but I've noticed this after some contact I've had. :)

The plant has lots of new growth witch I like but at the same time makes me wonder how much longer it's gonna be till she's done....

Just over 1 gallon of brew applied... pre-watered about 4 cups then after a few added just under 1 more gallon... dirt was very dry, plants are starting to really get bud porn worthy looking with the tricombes starting to really glisten.

The plants newest growth is healthy and coming out on a lot of buds... on Wednesday this plant has been in flower for 14 weeks so I'm really just going to have to watch and wait to see what to do next. I don't want to let the oldest part of the flowers get too ripe but I also don't want to pick before the newest growth on the flowers have had a chance to get very potent. This will be good experience for me.... I've always read that cannabis picked sooner will exhibit more qualities in the buzz of a sativa, and the later its picked the more of a indiga type of buzz it will have.... to me that means just pick your indigas early and your sativas late to get the most uniformity out of the buzz quality... so I guess I just wait now, well, continue to wait, but really seriously waiting now,... just waiting till she's just the right amount of ripe for the picking.... I'm so close I can taste it now....

Leaves (except for the very newest) look awful, if I haven't already plucked them off of her... looking at her flowers makes me feel better though, they keep getting just a little more sugar coted and frosty everyday. I don't expect the sun and the moon, especially with all the leaf loss, but just looking at these buds, I can't imagine that I won't be able to find something about them enjoyable...:peace:

Here are all the main colas and a couple other buds, in all her burnt yet defiant glory...

2 gallon of RO left to sit out and dechlorinate, watered the TSS with one gallon of the two

1 tbsp Liquid Karma
1 tbsp Big Bloom
1 tbsp Molasses
added to the two gallons - the rest I watered with elsewhere

357ppm

7.5 ph'ed down to - 6.6

I was a little late getting to her this morning (lights were already out) but when i opened the tent I found that one of the lower buds had almost snapped off the stalk from it's weight, I wasn't sure if the limb was going to make it so I chopped it off and went ahead and trimmed it and put it in a paper bag in the bottom of the tent to dry, here are a few pictures of the process, once all the burnt foliage was removed it didn't look to bad, I've seen others entire grows yield this much lol, albeit sadly.

I'm in the middle of week 14 of flower and I've decided to let her go a little longer, she's certainly finishing, but just very very very slowly, i'm not waiting this long just to pick early though, forget that, when she says she's done, she's done.

a lil sample..looks good
Trics were mostly cloudy, not really much if any amber to them... I had a small small sample a few weeks ago against better judgement, so I know what I have ahead of me, but this should be even better.... a true taste of things to come. :)

I should have bought bigger curing jars...
what size did u get?i use the quart size ones
i normally cut the buds off the branches before going in the jars
the only thing that should be going in ur jars is the growing tips(no stems)

I do have the quart size, 1 dozen wide mouth quart Ball brand canning jars, they should be great but I just would've liked to leave a couple of the colas intact for eutectic purposes, you know just for shock and awe. (I'm a nerd) Remember this is my first grow in years and first indoor ever so this is almost new to me again to me. (evident in trail and error). I'll post a few pics to give a perspective very soon... I'm sure they'll shrink a little too while hanging....

Very Nice!
Hows the sample?
:)
Thanks man, the sample is drying away, i tested the stems on it this morning and found them still bending and not snapping, probably going to be a few more days until it's smokable. It sure is pretty though, I'm awful excited to try it out.

yes they will shrink alot during drying....its sad to see it get smaller and smaller
what i do is cut the buds off up the stem until the node spacing gets small, then cure the bud like that
i suppose u could always use a tupperware container for any big buds u want to leave intact that wont fit in the jar

Good to see you had the patience to wait it out. That is the hardest part, the waiting. Isn't there a song about that? That bitch looks crazy.
