i would use uncle bens 4 main cola toping method, cram the plants close together like a sea of green, and keep the light as close as you can mainly concentrated on the 4 main colas, once they are ready chop the 4 main colas, drop the light lower and get some light on the rest of the buds for a week then chop them......
madder of fact i think im gonna do that just for fun lol...i can prolly get 12-15 plants under my 4ft 8 bulb t5
well the sad part is, i dont understand the uncle ben method very well, i found one or 2 videos explaining it but they do a poor job.. if anyone could give a detailed description of exactly when and where to cut that would help.i would use uncle bens 4 main cola toping method, cram the plants close together like a sea of green, and keep the light as close as you can mainly concentrated on the 4 main colas, once they are ready chop the 4 main colas, drop the light lower and get some light on the rest of the buds for a week then chop them......

Not true. Unless right on top = 6" - 8", they will burn and bleach. i run T5 HO in my veg cab.The great thing about t5's are that you can keep them right on top of your plant without worrying about burning them.Great for keeping temps down too.
Really, that stinks. I have mine less than 2" from the tallest tops and have had no problems. Now, I have burnt some tops that were less 3/4" away, thoughNot true. Unless right on top = 6" - 8", they will burn and bleach. i run T5 HO in my veg cab.
ive heard 6-8" mostly.. im going to try 4-5ish myself.. more light the better! just have to keep them well ventilated to reduce heat =]Really, that stinks. I have mine less than 2" from the tallest tops and have had no problems. Now, I have burnt some tops that were less 3/4" away, though
You can check out my grow journal if you'd like, I am doing a grow from seed completely under a 4 ft' 6 bulbs T5 with full spectrum bulb set-up (3 blue, 3 red). So far so good. It can be done, you just have to make sure you keep the plants close to the light.
