Wait 'til you see what's next.............
How is it to clean up after you harvest? What do you do with them etc.. Thats why I chose DWC no messy soils and I can just dump water down drain.

Don't know.
1st DWC too ! lmao
Drain the solution, pour down the sink or in my yard or other plants in flower bed.
After I cut the plants and trim/hang for drying of course.
The roots, maybe let them dry out in a bucket in the garage then toss into the yard waste bin.
Glad I don't have to deal with the soil mess too.

hi flogrow.....i have been watching your grow,...and i must say that it looks most excellent!!...
i right with ya .....i am at about 49 days flowering.....but it looks as if your bud to leaf ratio is much higher than mine...i have a few questions that i am hoping that you might help me out with...
q#1. Do you cut off fan leaves??...and if so, at what stage??
2# do you know how long the window is from the time that the tricomes turn milky until the go amber??...that is...once i notice milky trikes....how long will it be before amber color, then degradation??
3# my plants do not smell like a badass sack of chronic....but the buds are sticky....and they have MAD tricomes....do your plants smell like you would want a nice chronic sack to smell....or in your experience, is the smell of growing weed a little different??

View attachment 1198273I defoliated A LOT more than normal b/c of something I read on ICMag recently, but I usually trim those leaves that block too much lower bud sites anyway. I begin when the plant is about to go into bloom. Then once, maybe twice again within the following 2 - 3 weeks. I break it up time wise, so I don't shock the plant too much. View attachment 1198274
A2. Once you notice a majority of your trichs has gone milky, you'll have a few ambers in there too. Start checking daily or every other day at least, because the degradation gets more rapid as time passes. The time frame is dependent upon too many environmental variables. We both could be running clones of the same strain and have them come out different b/c of our different grow room environments. I'd start flushing any plant once the trichs are 50% milky. By the end of a 7 - 10 flush, they'll all mostly be milky with a good percentage of amber even. More than 50% amber and you have nuclear melt down, so to speak ! Not good ! A3. Funny thing is, the smell of dank growing, drying and curing all have diff smells during the diff stages due to the chemical reaction taking place within the THC during harvest. hey flo...thanks for the advice....advice from people who have a couple of grows or more under their belts is hard to come by!....for myself, and on behalf of this forum we thank you for your willingness to give advice to those in need!
oh...and yes...i vegged for a while.......way too long actually....my plants got waaaaay to tall. the buds on the lower branches are way underdeveloped in comparison with the tops.....which brings me to a new question.......actually i have 2 if you dont mind....
1...will the lower branches benefit from extra time underneath the lights if i cut the top half of the plant off, and let the lower half get an extra weeks worth of light??
2.....will the buds continue to grow during the 7-10 day flush cycle???....(in which period i will use final phase to cleanse buildup,...then use plain water for the remaining 7-10 days

Funny you should ask, b/c I had about 5 lower branches I had to cut off 2 nights ago.
Currently drying in a large, double bagged paper bag from the supermarket.
I don't think a staggered harvest would be a problem.
Trick is to not let the leaves die off during the flush.
And I will most def post the weights.
