I think he ment it was outside and the streetlight was keeping them from flowering...street lights dont bother them. ive run ruight under them many times and they are just an hps bulb and no way its intence enough to reach the ground to effect them. a 1k is onkly good for us up to 2 foot away. each ionch further is 50% lumens loss. its the week cfl is why
Just making sure, I've read about other people having problems from streetlights but I really have no idea if it would effect it or not.. I've never had that problem..i know what he meant and i said the street light had nothing to do with it being it wont reach the plant.
LoL, good point. I was assuming he brought it inside.and are we inside or out then with street lights and cfls here.
It makes sense what your saying, I just wasn't sure..if thjey had issies and blamed the street light ...um...not. its the same lights we use in grows and not powerfull enough,. just cause we see it with our eyes dont mean it reaches plants. they dont see in what we see
Did you read my question?i wasnt for sure it was the street light ive just read that it doesnt take much light to interfere with the flowering process so i figured id bring her in and it worked so i decided to keep it inside so i was just wondering if i had enough light on her
Is it a 68 watt "True watt" cfl?Yea its going to get a lot taller though! I would recommend trying lst "lowstresstraining" by tieing the top of it down very carefully. Not only will it keep the plant shorter but you will most likely get a better yield in the end because you will be able to keep the cfl's closer to the whole plant..
You should be good with this amount of light, on my first grow I pulled around 3 oz's off two plants under about 250watts of cfl.. As long as your talking true watts and not equivelent.. Now that I think about it, 4000 lumens is the 300 watt equivalent 68w cfl so if your only running 68 true watts then I would at least get another one if not 2 and surround your plant with them.
Remeber keeping them horizontal they put off more light..
