NO... I'm not even kidding. It's TIME TO CALL THE DEA, FDA and OUR GOVERNMENT out for the LIARS that they are! Firstly they 'prohibit' Marijuana and WASTE MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS of U.S. taxpayer money fighting the 'war on drugs'. They refuse to re-classify marijuana as it 'has No proven medical value' and incarcerate hundreds of thousands more... FOR THE BIGGEST LIE OF ALL TIME!
Here's the punch line...wait for it.......

The U.S. Government owns U.S. Patent #6,630,507, entitled "Cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants".

Anyone who is familiar with patents (like myself, I own one, and have others pending) knows HOW WRONG this is.

Firstly- the U.S. government did NOT invent cannabinoids or cannabis...it is a naturally generated chemical within a naturally growing plant.

Secondly- the U.S. government claims that Marijuana has no proven medical value' which keeps it from being re-classified from a schedule 1 drug to a 2 or even 3.

Thirdly- They continue to DENY the facts about the medical uses of marijuana WHEN THEY OWN THE PATENT ON IT AND DESCRIBE THE MEDICAL BENEFITS IN THE VERY TITLE OF THE PATENT!!!

I do not think I have ever seen a better example of how WRONG our elected officials, government and legal system is. It is beyond time to write your elected officials and put them in the hot seat. Ask them how our government can claim to be "of the people and for the people" when they openly lie to our faces and insult our very intelligence like this!

You are right in some sense but I don't think we're just taking it. Granted, a lot of people do just take it...but these younger generations have access to so much information that the old propaganda isn't working. I think the latest generation of youth (the ones just getting into their 20's) will step up and stop this nonsense. As a 21 year-old, I know I am
I've written many letters to my representatives in the government although I've found they don't really address the issues I bring up. I doubt they read all the letters/emails they receive but if enough people write about the same topic, they have to take notice. If they don't, rioting possibilities will most likely rise. I think the government officials are aware of this but not enough people have stepped forward, out of the shadows of their secret hobbies and habits, in order to fight for what needs to be done...
It's sad...but some people just can't be bothered to help implement positive change.

This country is for the FED now. We are no longer in a state of freedom. We are in a police state. We are in a age of disinformation and misinformation. The government gives the fertilizer to the afgani ppl to grow their opium. There's LOTS of things not known, that ARE said and ARE open. But to many of us are worried about whats on tv, our next 6 pack, or what my facebook status says. patent implies that this is a useful medical substance(s)
this is a ringing endorsement that cannabinoids are good medicine
the patent certainly could not be applied to the use of MMJ per se, this is a documented practice with literature over hundreds of years
