Rockin' some Sour Diesel I picked Sept. 10th. I thought it was just gonna be crappy mids because I picked it so early (caterpillars), so I zipped it up and put it away for a month.

Just started sampling it yesterday, and I'm glad I did.

It's kind of wild, but the high is much more 'up' then I thought this Sour Diesel would be. I guess that's the product of a little curing, and chemical changes in the THC/CBD content that go along with it.

It's wild, I smoke two little glass hitters, and I'm dizzy/spacy, but not heavy and worn out.

Did you grow those shrooms? Now that this little project is over for the year I was thinking about trying to grow some mushrooms during the "offseason."

I thought things were looking good from what I saw in your growing endeavors this year?

I know what you mean in expectations.

I started the year with 55 seeds total of Sour Diesel and G13/Haze, lost a bunch of those seedlings to deer, bought 20 more, and in the end, ended up with 10 girls that made it to harvest.

10 out 75 is a 13% success rate, which is a pretty epic fail. Such are the perils of outdoor growing.

I'm actually a little dissapointed in my final yield...

That's an idea, I think I'll give the buds a weigh.

It's only been a week, but these little buds finished drying in a few days, then went right into curing. They're nicely dried on the outside, with a tinge of moisture still left in the middle. Most are ready-to-serve dry.

Did you grow those shrooms? Now that this little project is over for the year I was thinking about trying to grow some mushrooms during the "offseason."

Well, did a quick weighing of all buds with my trusty Triton T2 digital scale:

Here are some totals:

Sour Diesel:

September 8th/10th harvests total = 4 oz.
October 8th harvest total = 7 oz.

G13/Haze:

October 10th harvest total = 7 oz.

Total = 18 Oz. (1 Pound, 2 Oz.)

Blew away my expectations, even if I do lose an ounce or two in weight with further drying/curing (which I doubt, I'll probably lose another ounce at most total).

A conservative weighing too. Doesn't include all the bud I've smoked since Sept. 10th, which is substantial...hehe. It had been over a year since I last puffed.

If you go back a few pages even, you'll see the process of how they got to where they are. It's just a little effort to click the 'back-page' button, maybe a few times....not too hard, right?

-Didn't buy those mushrooms.

-Paid nothing for the booze, AND I couldn't fit the rest up there but I think the picture worked...you seem to like it.


The G13/Haze and Sour Diesel are curing nicely; still early in their drying.


I'm completely happy with the bud. It's too bad I don't have a decent camera. It's most likely why this grow wasn't commented on much in the last few months, and why I get comments like odbsmydog's.


No big deal, I'm gonna keep growing, and let future grows speak for themselves. And I'll be getting a better camera too.

But in the meantime, I'm gonna enjoy the 7 ounces of G13/Haze and 11 ounces of Sour Diesel I have over the next year with my friends.

Already picked out a Vaporizer; looking forward to making this sticky icky last a while.

There have been some questions about the buds, and why they look so dark. The Sour Diesel looks normal, and is drying normal, so I don't know what the questions are on that? The bud is dank, smells great, but I guess that that doesn't translate as well into pictures.

It didn't help that I shot the pictures of the buds through glass jars, with a glare of light making it difficult to see them.

The G13/Haze was put in jars early to dry/cure, due to extreme smell. The buds were aired out every few hours because of this. They look dark, but they're not moldy in the least, and have dried very well. The drying has brought out a lotta visible crystals on the surface.

Guess no one here has smoked any bud that's been dark but strong? I guess when you buy all your bud from medical dispensaries, you get spoiled.

Hopefully next year's thread will have a little better participation. Seems like the last couple months only a handful of the same people kept tabs on my grow. Not too many bucket grows this year, so this kind of surprised me.

I didn't have a huge Cali medi grow like 90% of the people on here, so I guess that made my efforts negligible and uninteresting in comparison.

you guys make it sound like the bud is supposed to turn brown? That doesn't make sense unless the bud dried out way too fast.



I been looking all over your post man, sorry. maybe it's just the pic but when chloraphyl usually breaks down the bud doesnt turn brown. I keep going back pages if you could link me to where it shows how they got that color I would be stoked.

The only reason I ask is because in those drying pics the buds are a beautiful green color, so I know it wasn't anything from your grow, did they dry out super fast or in a really hot room?

and dude your grow is way bigger than my first 2 outdoors so I wasn't trying to hate on your yield. just more thought that was an insane amount of pricey booze. I drink king cobra 40s and white wolf vodka so don't listen to me. at least you got good tastes.

did you have any air moving around in there? or get a temp or humidity reading? maybe that was the problem and if so you can rectify it next grow. I just want to see everybody get the best herb they possibly can. and those plants look chronic. anyways, just wanna help and didn't mean to come off as a douchebag.

Fuck dude, between the rock hard clay, caterpillars, 105 degree/80% humidity, and the stinking termites, these suckers wouldn't harvest shit. You heard me right, started with 8 females outdoors and termites ate the root ball and infiltrated the main stem. And to think I was worried about spider mites, what a joke. Anyway, like you said, this year was a learning experience for you and us. Next year will be different, no doubt! Check out some pictures of the termites and their damage.

I NEVER SAID HIS PLANTS LOOKED SHITTY. WHEN THEY ARE HANGING IN THE CLOSEST THEY LOOK BEAUTIFUL. The weed is dark green for the record, not brown like some mexican brickweed.

Didn't sour my mood. I have over a pound of skunky weed, which I can barely maintain the stink of.

Love smoking bongs of Sour Diesel; I seriously forget where I am for 20-30 minutes at a time, it's awesome! hehe.

I'll still have this weed next year when I get a better camera; maybe then I'll be able to get some solid pics of these buds.
