First build: 10'x12' and 10'x10' room's to use

I'm starting to build and design my room's and can't decide on how to construct it.. I have 2 rooms, (one which is completely sealed with no windows, and the other that has 2 window's)..

My question is what room should I pick to flower in? Thinking of doing a sealed room with co2 in the room with no window's, or just combine airflow back and forth between the 2 to get fresh air in both rooms. I am growing in soil and plan to grow the maximum amount of plants my space will allow me :-o

Any input is appreciated! Thanks

Sounds like a primo setup. 4000w in the 10x12 room. 10x10 room could be for mothering, cloning, storage, trimming and curing. Perpetual op in the flower room. Sound to me like 2lbs+ every three weeks if hyrdo.

Well I'm in soil, because that's what I know best.. My plan is 4 1000w's under 4' parabolic's in the flower room and pretty much what you said for the rest about the other room. So my question is, what room should I use for flower?

Option A: 10x12 That has 2 window's
Option B: 10x10 Completely sealed room

Don't really want to cut holes in the walls for intake/exhaust but I will if needed..

No prob with soil if thats the way you wanna go. Less variables if you're already familiar. If you don't want to cut holes then I'd say its pretty much a requirement to use the 10x12 room for flower. I'd say get the biggest window AC unit you can stuff in the biggest window. And do a cooltube setup exhausting through the other window and a big carbon scrubber on the other end. Without a cooltube system you'll have a difficult time staying below a reasonable 85. Are you in a climate that you'll be able to forgo the AC unit until spring by bringing in 20* outside air?

Are you not worried about your electricity bill with 4x 1000watt lamps?

Yeah I can forget the AC for a while sense i'm in a basement, Im actually using a heater to heat the room (with 2 windows) that has 3, 400w Mh's going right now and the temp is just barely 80 so I think I can forget the AC for awhile..

That load can fit on a single 30amp breaker (240v). thats not a lot at all... if you pay 10cents (higher than avg) per kw/hr then each light cost 1.20 per day to run and around 40 per month... adding 160 to electricity is no big thing, I think they start to notice if you are pulling over 100amps steadily and have 800-1000 dollar electricity bills.

I would use air cooled hoods in your setup as they will keep the heat down in your room A LOT. And a 6in inline fan pulling in cold air from outside (duct to a window somewhere) will only take ~1amp on 120v, vs airconditioner taking 12amp on 120v... You could run about 8 inline fans for the same electricity of a single A/C. (space heaters also draw high amperage (12-13a)on a 120v, have its own 15a circuit so you you dont flip breaker...)

Find a spot in the wall that you (or some skilled worker) can patch up or replace a piece of sheetrock. cut some holes in it for ducting.. and an 8in fan moves a lot more than 6in fan...

Yeah I guess I will have to cut a hole in the wall for exhaust ducting from the sealed room anyways..

Do your budding in the room without the windows. Install a short door and run your ventubes over the door.

Pretty sure I'm going to flower in the room with windows and veg in the room with no windows.. I will run a carbon filter and fan from the veg room to one of the windows in the other room to circulate air. Just not sure on where im going to get an intake for the room with no windows..

You have to cover the windows if you use that as the flower room, whereas windows in a veg room is fine

Your windows should be concealed from all eyes anyway. You mentioned you are in a basement so I am assuming these are small windows. If so that it is even easier than with the full sized windows I have. Just build a light tight box around the window made from a wood frame and foam insulation board. I put really dark screens on the window it so it does not look conspicuous and sprayed painted black in the inside. Cut vent holes in the box to run your tubing into. I actually have an window a/c sitting inside the box so it is not hanging out of the window all year long. Use the biggest room for flowering. You need to exchange air regardless in both rooms so sorry dude you are going to have to punch a hole somewhere in that sealed room.

Cool thanks for the input bro, Im getting ready to insulate and panda both rooms. I will try and get a sketch layout of my basement to make things easier

OK so here is a rough draft of my two room's... The room on the right is the one with windows and the bigger space on the left is where i'm building the 10x10 room with no windows.. The X's are where my outlet's are, the square in the middle of the left room is a random 6x6 support beam that I have to deal with. Let me know if this helps. Thanks guy's!

Definitely flower in the room with the windows. You don't want to be walking thru your flower room to get to your veg. If you did it that way you would only be able to get into veg during the 12hrs your lights are on in flower. Just something to consider. I know you were considering co2, you can still do that in the room with the windows (seal 'em good). It is more effective on the flowering side. Which way do your ceiling joist run? Could you slide tubing thru the space in the joist between the two rooms? It is cool to have tubing in the ceiling out of the way.

Ceiling won't work being there are bedrooms right above the rooms, I'm just going to cut a hole in the wall between the two rooms
