I still have 100% clear trics on my white kush that has been flowering for 10 weeks..
Any suggestions?
Any suggestions?
ya but it would also mean theres prolly no clear trics wich are imature and arnt at peak potency, i see people recomending 50/50 amber to cloudy it all realy depends on the strain a 13 week sativa will not have the same ratio as a 8 week indica its just a genral guess so OP can get close to peak potencywow...30% amber. amber is a sign of the cannabinoids degrading. and will be a heavy couch lock high.
well theres a long way between clear and 30% amber. like 2 weeks.
im pritty sure cloudy is what you want not clear, just cause you choped early dont make other people do itwell theres a long way between clear and 30% amber. like 2 weeks. and peek THC ia actulay at 5 to 6 week but no CBD Oor CBN yet....and that is clear
just the type of answer a guy who doesnt know how to help with this prob.would write....Mr.know it all, with always looong answers, but no real help... Yes check ur damn plants everyday from 100% clear trichs to finished brick top. BTW..keep posting ur famous "its so many variables"posts we all freaking LOVE it...eh NOT..It is really strain dependent. For pure sativas and highly predominant sativa strains there is roughly a two week window of opportunity for harvesting at peak potency, which means a long slow gradual change of trichome colors, which means a long slow gradual change in cannabinoids. In pure indicas and highly predominant indica strains the window of opportunity for peak potency is days, roughly three to four days, which means a rapid change of trichome color can occur, which means a rapid change of cannabinoids. For strains with a more balanced percentage of indica and sativa the window of peak potency will vary somewhere between the two depending on genetics and also somewhat on growing conditions.
Several years back I was growing a highly predominant indica strain. One day I checked the trichomes and there was a small percentage that were clear, most were cloudy/milky and a small percentage were amber. Preferring less amber I decided to harvest the following morning. That night I had intense pains and by roughly 10:00AM the following morning I was in the hospital scheduled to have my gall bladder removed the following day. After having my gall bladder removed I was kept overnight and released the following morning at 11:00AM. I made a stop at a pharmacy on my way home and by a little after noon I was home inspecting my plants. I did not see any cloudy/milky trichomes. Some were still amber but most had turned brown. In that short period of time a very rapid change occurred in my plant's trichomes. I had sampled a small bud the day I decided to harvest the following morning and it was very good for not having had a slow dry and long cure. What I had after the delayed harvesting, and after slow drying and curing was, in my opinion, material for compost.
Too many people like a one size fits all answer to every single question, they like a singular answer that applies to each and every situation and to each and every strain. Unfortunately things do not work that way with the broad range of genetics out there. What might be correct for 70% or 80% or 90% or maybe even 97.872% of strains and situations will be 100% incorrect for the remaining percentage of strains and situations.
When it comes to trichome people should begin checking them before any believed finishing date and then check them daily, each morning (or afternoon or evening or night) when their lights come on. Just assuming that there is days or weeks left and waiting to check the progress of trichomes will eventually bite someone on their ass and they will not like it.
I thought his post was helpful; I learned something I didn't know; what I learned was that Indicas have a shorter peak period then sativas. So it's important to keep a watchful eye on the trichs in the later flowering weeks so that the cannabinoid and thc levels dont go to shit!
