Quick question

Can I start a plant with a 12/12 light cycle from seedling? What will happen if I do this? Also what will happen if you put a plant on 12/12 too early?

12/12 from seed is ok.

i have one going as an experiment . took about 3 weeks to show sex its now 10days away from harvest with maybe an ounce on her 14inches tall under 600w hps.

if you allow a plant to begin alternating nodes it is usually mature enough to flower.

if you flower before the alternating nodes then the plant will stall a little and it takes a little longer to show sex.

Thanks for the info I got one plant now its in veg state im just waiting for another node or two. it has 2 right now its on its second week almost. Im not a patient person and waiting is hard but its better then spending money that I dont have on green.

I'm the same shaggy, nearly three weeks in and I've 5 or 6 nodes and about 10" tall. Just waiting till the 3 week mark till I put them to flower.

Happy growing!

5 or 6 nodes at 10" tall??? sounds like your plant is stretched bro my plants have 6 nodes around 4" tall get your lights closer.

I got this 12\12 going right now to check the genetics. Its nice.
Plants remain compact.

They went through a month of veg and started flowering. Veg was a bit slower than I'm used to.

With clones its MUCH faster.

If you can't wait to mess around with your plants - start a worm bin.

its a bin you grow worms in.

Its a great way to reduce your organic trash, produce an AWESOME soil amendment (fresh earthworm castings) and extra worms can be sold as fishing bait or for someone to start another bin. The EWC (earthworm castings) can be made into a tea (google up AACT) that is a great tool.

You just need to build one (30 minutes?), put bedding, food and a week later - worms.
Then wait. If you get bored - make another bin.

There are a lot of things you can do to help your plant without touching it.
Composting, FPEing (fermented plant extracts), LEARNING and there are a lot of stuff you can DIY.
