i take pot on planes all the time.. but take procautions with the odor... i have even smoked on planes befor all this 9-11 crap.. in the bathroom with a hello neighbor blow thru

ohk how did u get it on the plane though? thats what im wondering. i sneeked cigs on plane but that also because i forgot that i packed them.

i just kept the buds in a air tight jar and kept it on my body "not" my bag...

Dude, I have to always take cannabis on my vacations. Here is what you do: Vaccum seal the smoke your taking and compress it tightly. You can put it in your crotch while wearing tighty whities. You can even go so far as so sew a separate crotch on the top of your original undy crotch thus creating a weed pouch and sewing totally shut. (if this makes sense.) As long as you are traveling in the USA and do not beep from metal going through security you are scott free. I have even been searched, had my shoes and belt undone. The felt around my waist, ankles, and crotch and found zero. I had a half O of personal on me too. You will be totally fine. It is concern going through customs to other countries.
Dogs can smell through ANYTHING!!! The dog will now smell peanut butter AND MJ.

wrap it up in 2 bags, put it in a dvd case, tape the case closed. put the case in a bubble padded envelope . send it first class. I usually pick up a phone book and ramdonly draw a name/ address near where your post office is. it'll be OK , done it many a time with no bad results, make sure to have your name on the receiving end, If it gets compromised, and they ask you about it , you have plauseable deniability . Whos this that sent it, I don't know him? after you get it in the mail. DONT open it for an hour or so, incase they flagged it , when they flag a package , they will let it get delivered, wait an hour and then try to bust you with it. if it isn't open, technically your NOT in possession of it . That last part is an incase . I'v never had it happen nor have i ever known anyone it happened to. There are over 10 billion packages sent around the world every day. also make sure you dont know the person who's name your putting on the return, that is the main reason this is foolproof . Good Luck man. do a good job on the packaging and your home free.

Finally, someone in here with common sense. Kudo's to you friend! Indeed, its kinda stupid trying to pass through security with illegal substances. Especially after 9/11. Security is so tight right now.. it's like trying to fit a watermelon into a pinhole.... just won't happen. And with the very recent packages from Yemen being discovered.. N.S.A. has raised our 'Terrorist Threat Level' to Orange, one level below the highest level available on the chart. Right now, wouldn't be the time to try and sneak illegal substances through any airports.
And yeah, the government.. right now.. and ever since 9/11.. the government doesn't take it lightly. They take it personal actually.. and if you were to get caught.. I can almost guarantee you that you would be punished to the fullest extent of the law available. It's a federal offense.. which means you will be dealing with federal agents.. which also means you'll be doing FEDERAL time in a FEDERAL PRISON.
Not worth it IMO.. just wait until you get to your destination and try and find some while your there. Or, if you don't feel safe doing that.. then just stop smoking until you get back home. That would be my recommendation.

Exactly right about trying to sneek it on the plane. The way I see it is you have 3 options: 1) mail it to yourself, not to bad of an option. 2) Buy some when you get there, only problem is locating a dealer. 3) don't smoke while away, sucks but you won't go to jail.
And above all, just use common sense. Would you try to smuggle any other drugs like heroin or cocaine? The feds don't fuck around.

Mailing it seems like the only good option. Problem is, I have no clue what the proper way to mail bud is. I think you have to vac seal it and do some other procedures, but I'm not sure what they are. I would like to know though because I'm going to live in Germany for a year about two weeks after my buds harvest... I don't want to turn approx 2 lbs into brownies... but I might have to.
You cannot take food on the plane with you, not for any reason, they will confiscate it.

BAD IDEA, easiest time to get busted is making a new contact, what if that "dealer" is just an undercover cop? Mailing, I suggest wrapping in vinyl wallpaper (ziploc/seran wrap first).
