Molasses

Hi guys I've just got a quick question.

I've been doing some research on the internet and the forums and can't seem to find a definitive answer.

I live in the UK and have been looking to purchase molasses but the only one I can seem to find is the non-liquid one (Billington's Molasses, unrefined brown sugar) and I'm not sure it's the right stuff.

I've also heard it's known as black treacle here in the UK, if so is it ok to use Lyle's Black Treacle?

All help and replies are greatly appreciated.

Not that I'm aware of, only on the internet.

The un-sulfured, would that be the unrefined brown sugar one or the black treacle?

I could post a link if that would help.

Thanks for the speedy reply +rep to you sir.

I have never heard of those brands, it should say somewhere on them whether they are sulfured or not.

Lyle´s Black Treacle IS unsulphured molasses.

But I wouldn´t waste your time and money on it - molasses made no difference what ever to my grow.

Plants given molasses were exactly the same as those that weren´t.

I had read so much about molasses, I had to give it a go - but it didn´t work. That is just my experience, however.

Thanks for the help Spanishfly. I've heard so many people on here raving about it, was maybe thinking about using it myself. Was your grow indoors? Did you compare your grow with molasses with previous grows without using molasses?

Thats what you keep saying but you have yet to show proof. I know since I have started using mollases I have had fewer insects, fewer nutrient uptake problems and the plants look healtier through the entire flowering cycle.
