ahhh i didnt catch in your first post that you are using the FFoF soil.... dont use any nutes for the first month with this soil, i was told that specifically by many growers and 3 guys at 2 different hydro stores. This soil already comes with nutes to run you for a month, you are probably experiencing nute burn and your water is just fine.
As i am still new to the growing scene i dont know but maybe you would want to flush out all the nutes you have put in

I picked up a meter earlier today so I'm about to go and test EVERYTHING. I'll be back with results shortly.

it doesnt not really look nute burnt at all, but i agree it should have enough nutes in it for the first month. and also i dont think a flush is necessary if nothing severe is taking place.
get that water phed SD. what type of meter did you get

My tap water is about the same as the bottled water that I gave them, around 6.6. The run-off was lower at 5. I got a Milwaukee meter. When I went in to check on them today, I noticed a little burn on the very tip of one leaf. I went ahead and flushed because I figure this way I'm getting back to a clean slate. I also noticed a white, chalky type build up around the holes I punched in the bottom of the cups where the water drains. Is this salt/nute buildup? After flushing, I did notice some improvement in the curling of the leaves. Also, when is a good time to transplant? I already have 2 gallon pots waiting for them and I believe this is going to be there final stop.

I was thinking the exact same thing about flushing.... a clean slate, but this time i dunno if i would use nutes, because i was told by several people that fox farm soil is great for the first month

Just a thought, but can humidity issues cause this curling? On average, the humidity is pretty low I would say, around 35-50%. I have some pans and bowls of water sitting out to evaporate but that doesn't seem to be doing much. Should i transplant into bigger pots and make some humidity domes?

the humidity you have is fine, i never measured my humidity, but theri is growers on here who have a 20 percent or lower percentage. and as for trans planting well, take you biggest plant and if the roots are starting to circle the bottom then ya trans plant. when i used those cups they usally were moved in to bigger pots at that size. as for the domes well i dont think they are needed but you can try.

Thanks sfsurfer, as the saying goes "a picture is worth a 1000 words". It makes it easy to explain things and makes it so ya'll aren't just reading my boring writing all the time.
I literally checked the pH of EVERYTHING. The results are a few posts up, but it all checked out ok. I believe the drooping was a result of a few things:
I didn't realize the root system would grow so fast in just 2 weeks. Newbie ignorance

andbecause the roots were all at the bottom of the cup, the plant had 'wet feet' and wasn't getting enough oxygen. I transplanted them into 2 gallon pots. The bottom pic was taken immediately after the transplant.
It's been a couple of hours since the transplant and they are already looking better.
I'm assuming that I can continue their water schedule as regular from here on out. I was going to give them their first taste of Grow Big and Big Bloom on Friday/Saturday. Since I gave them a flush last night, do you think this is enough time to let the soil dry out a bit?
Now that I know how fast the roots grow I'll be transplanting these in the next coming days, probably into 1 gallons. My plan was to let these veg until the first 4 come out of flowering then these'll go into flower.
I'm not sure what this 1 is doing but it's interesting to look at nonetheless. It's kind of my grow room comedic relief.

I'm using FF Ocean Forest. The guys at my local hydro store and FF say that Big Bloom is for the entire grow. The NPK values on Big Bloom are .01-.3-.7 so it makes sense that it can be used during a whole grow as it's not too hot in any of the values. I figure that it's like a low daily dosage of nutes to prepare the plant for awesome flowering.

i was told by many many people that have grown and also multiplae peopla from the hydro store not to use nutes with that soil for about a month, it comes preloaded with that stuff for about that long
im using the same soil and i just started week 5 of veg and i just used nutes for the first time

I've heard that too. There are a couple of posts here on RIU that say folks have followed FF's schedule to a 't' with no issue and FF's website touts that all of their products are tailored to fit together perfectly. As a new grower looking for info, I found it very confusing hearing both sides. I might do an experiment with a couple of seeds and see if there's a difference in growth.

A month seems long to go without using nutes in ocean forest. I guess it all depends on how fast the plant grows but ive been using fox farm ocean forest on my last three grows and have always started using nutes from week two (never had nute burn or issues just great bud!). FF is the shit though, I can't imagine using anything else

I would definitely follow the fox farm feeding schedule if you can. It really makes a huge difference. A friend and I both grew clones from the same mother plant, he only used one of the FF nutrients where I used all 6 according to their system (started off at half strength from week 2-3 then bumped up to full). The pictures are taken at the same time period during flowering and curing. Heres the difference;

Quite possible, as long as you follow the schedule and work your way up to full doses you really shouldnt have issues with nute burn or root lock; no matter what your experience level. Ive also started using EM-1 (microbial inoculant) in my current grow and I would definitely recommend adding it to your feeding schedule. The live cultures in EM-1 naturally break down excess nutrients and impurities promoting strong root growth and soil structure. As a bonus EM-1 has molasses mixed in to make your buds taste even sweeter!
Way frostier and WAY more dense. Buying all 6 is kind of expensive but definitely worth it in the end

dam theri is a huge difference in those buds sfsurfer. i have heard people following the schedule and have great results but i have also heard of people following it and it was either to much nutes or to little, some strains require smaller or larger amounts depending on if they are heavy feeders or not. but i think FF is good but kinda spendy for 6 products. theri is great nutes that have one bottle for veg and one for bloom makes it a lil easier i guess and saves some money. im not hating on themcuz i know they work good
