How much do co-ops usually pay for their marijuana?

Depends on where you are, and what you have.

One club here (Sacramento) offered me $600 (for a fucking pound of Blue Dream). Another offered $1600, but wasn't buying any right now. A buddy of mine drove down out to the Bay Area, and was able to get one off for $1200. Another friend got five for five yesterday.

My shit's gonna sit in jars until after the first of the year.

As I am currently starting a large scale grow here in SD using a cultivators license and all of the dispensaries that I have checked with will pay 2 to 3k per lb depending on quality. This is for true medical strains, such as G13, OG Kush, P91 among others. Normal weed like chem dog and other common street varieties will also sell, but at a far cheaper rate, as it should.

The main thing is the quality and what the trichs look like, such as clear, cloudy or amber. Genetics and harvesting will determine the going price.

Remember in the MMJ community its about the quality of the weed, if its street type stuff it won't get a very good price.

Peace out :weed:

No problem on the questions, that is what we are here for. A great source for medical strains is either Nirvana, Attitude Seed Bank or my personal favorite is an app that I have for my Android phone, its called MMJ encyclopedia. The app has all of the information including pictures, a must read for patients and growers.

Peace out :weed:

why would you laugh sir? Are you not aware that every different kind of herb is a little bit different the term "medical strain" only comes from the fact that those specific strains have been proven en masse to help certain kinds of medical conditions. If you couldnt sleep would you go and smoke a sativa? no you would go find the strongest indica you could find and take a fat nap. There are strains out there that are very specifically beneficial to medical patients what would you say we should call them to classify them so patients know what helps them. If you got a better idea im sure the whole community would like to hear it.

im sure every strain has its pros/cons. to say a strain isnt 'medical' means that strain wont help u medically, which just isnt always true. if im anxious and smoke almost any strain, it will calm me down. all strains r considered medical in my eyes

"Medical Strains" mean that they cost 5 dollars more to buy. Haven't found a difference other than that. I've had plenty of chemdog that was better than OG Kush. Also, "medical" depends on your location. Sweet Tooth Kush, GDP, Purple Kush and other strains that are prone to turning purple are medical in SF, but in SoCal purples aren't even considered good. A good friend of mine can sell his "Sour Grapes" to a club for $3600 a lb, easy. It's all about demand in your area.

MMJ is more of a potency issue with different kinds of highs, head and body being the 2 major. Most MMJ patients, such as myself, require very potent smoke for their ailments. Most street smoke will work somewhat depending on the ailment, for anxiety I personally can use about any weed for that, but for my insomnia I require top shelf indica, nothing else works.

As always these are my own opinions based upon my experiences, your mileage may vary :-P

Peace out :weed:
