Not to mention alot of voters were under the impression that even with legallization, "weed money goes to the terrorists" (WTF? are you kidding me? this point is not valid even when weed is ILLEGAL. does this mean our tax dollar is STILL going to al qaeda?). ps that is straight from a campaign ad.
From the same people who are scared of the mexican drug cartels (wonder where most of their money comes from?...in other words, legalize it and they wont have a market here!) But we as americans are the most gullable, ignorant people on the face of the earth. IMO the best word you used sparkjumper, FEAR (anything the gov says to be scared of, in particular), is the cause of most of the injustices done in this country. And it has been used effectively to ruin the last shot we are gonna have at paving the way for federal legalization for a few years.
Have to agree w sparkjumper on one more thing.
That is mos def a very selfish way of looking at it, keke. I am disappointed that "caregivers" and growers voted against. If you are good at what you do, then you should very well be able to sell your product to everyone 21 and over legally, and be successful doing so. If it's not that good, then people prob already don't want it.
Supposed pillars of the cannabis community are helping slow down what so many have been fighting to their dying days for! legali-fucking-zation. FREEDOM of choice.
What on earth would Jack Herer think if he lived to see the day you voted down the legislature he worked so hard, all those years, for. Now THERE is someone rollin over in his grave.
