Alaskan Ice - Greenhouse seeds

OK i've been smokin this for a few days now and bear in mind this report is just a quick smoke report, not fully cured yet but....!!!!!


Strain: Alaskan Ice (greenhouse seeds)

Growth: Um... for me under 2x 600w hps for veg - very fast, bushy growth, minimal stretching (maybe a bit for the first week)
5 weeks in total

Nutes: Ionics grow for 3-6 weeks, Ionics Bloom for weeks 5-7, Ionics Boost for about week 5-7 too

Yield: from 4 so far around 5oz plus bottom buds still growing - gonna be about 10oz at least from 6x Alaskan Ice so i'd say - VERY GOOD YIELDER

Bag Appeal: Sticky as fuck, Looks fairly innocent but don't be fooled!!!

Smell: Not smelly while budding but as it cures it gets very potent, 1oz stank my house out today (without any even being smoked)

Taste: Regular i guess, although my sense of taste vanished years ago when tobacco began to ravish my body of it's natural senses

The High: Quick, very heady high, a complete mmmmmashup of a high, don't expect to socialise after this but you'll need something more fun than the sofa!!

Comments:Can't fault this strain, IMO greenhouse have done me proud with this strain. A lot of dodgy rumours/reports etc but look at my grow, follow it, all VERY simple. i love this shit!!!

I am curious why some of Green House Seeds good strains have not been introduced to competition? Looks like Alaskan Ice and The Church are winners.

Maybe still selectively breeding, you should send some picks to Arjan himself!

About the competition, i'm not sure but maybe they're still waiting on the ultimate mother plant to fully market this strain, but seriously, i dunno. All i know is i'm more stoned than i've been in a loooooong time!!!

I was just on their site today, they have grow reports/posts of each strain from customers/growers and usually keep it up for like a month, plus send you a cool T-shirt.

At least one guy did.

How's the trainwreck? Is that greenhouse as well? I swear I keep hearing better things bout these guys daily, but if this is the GH TW, I'm picking up lots of greenhouse next!

When i last went to Amsterdam i got some Alaskan Ice directly from Green house. That stuff was Really really fucking good. One of the best i tried during the whole trip. Id say it was there than Arjans Ultra haze and just as good as the Hawaiian snow. Also the prices for bud at the Green house were very reasonable in comparison to some of the other shops. They only charged 8 euros for a gram which is a great price for what they were serving up. Yea the place was crowded and it was infested with cheesey Euro trash types but it was worth it.

My trainwreck girls are still a week away i reckon, maybe a little more, one of them has purple leaves?!! I dunno whether this is the strain or a deficiency

But definately nothing wrong with greenhouse imo

I can't wait till you do a quick report on Trainwreck, it's one of those strains I'm in love with and I haven't even tried it yet! Just listening to other people's opinions make my taste buds tingle.

I too have had good luck with this strain, and am very concerned that it seems that it may be discontinued. it has been out of stock from attitude and worldwide for quite some time. I contacted GHS some time ago and they assured me they were breeding more but I have yet to anything. this was almost 8 months ago. enclosed are some pics of my alaskan ice buds.

GHS Trainwreck: Great strain. My buddy ordered it and I grabbed a cut off of one of the plants in veg. I tossed it in my aero cloner. Roots in 5 days! I have had a wide variety of strains and this is by far the fastest rooter.

Anyways I decided to turn that into a mother. I just flowered out my first 2 cuts (I didnt want to fill a whole table just in case it sucked). To my surprise this bitch is a huge yeilder. The bud looks top notch. I havent smoked any yet(still curing). I will try to put up a pic or 2.

I chopped at 8 weeks. I may let her go a bit longer next time. She is a bit strechy as well.

Hope this helps someone out. I kno this thread is not about TW but someone asked about it.....
