Ripped Leafs why.. no pests seems to me

I am about 6 weeks into veg. state and i noticed leafs that were coming from the top were slit and they grew like that. now i have a leaf with a rip and tear in it. Is this nutrition or temperature change.

My plant did the same about 3wks in veg., I had a knat flying around, 1 F-ing knat, I seen it didn't think much of it
then I noticed 2 leaves had rips in them mainly in middle ,found out knats like MJ plants, not just fruit shit !!!
any way I got him out & no promblems since, Good Luck

I've had this here and there in the past, never caused me much commotion. Don't stress. I read in a response to one of cruzer's journals that putting a shot glass with some liquor in it will attract any flying pests into its sweet alcoholy death, and I've noticed the same thing happen when I leave out any alcoholic beverage really.

hmm good to hear, exept with me, i have to be carefull with the temptations , ill put a shotglass full of liquor, look at it for a minute, then drink it !

Do they fall in and die with the shot glass trick or do they go some where and die.. Cuz i tried it and none are in the glass and my leafs are still ripping...It was so beautiful now it looks like shit.......
