sorry to hear you have spider mites. they are a bitch but with the proper care you can keep them under control. a drop of soap in some water would be a good start. make sure you spray under the leaves and try to get every nick and cranny you can get. If leaves are badly infested, I just pluck them. Some might disagree with this, but 1 leaf that has multiple spider mites and a crap load of eggs is worth the price. Spraying won't kill the eggs, so you'll have to spray again in a couple days.

You can also take some tobacco and boil it in water for a minute or 2, and then let it sit over night. The nicotine is instant death to the spider mites.

Maybe try some Lady bugs?

These are just some of the less harmful ideas you can try. You can try a pyrethrum bomb, but then you are just getting into the chemical side of things. If all else fails, look into floramite.

are you in veg or flowering, no pest strips work great. I wouldn't make any hash with it if you use no pest strips.

dish soaps-these soaps clog pores (stomata~spelling?) and are not horticulture soap, much better with Neem Oil .... you spray every 7 days, untill you get a hold on it, then slowly spread it out, every10 days, then 14 days... and eventually you wont even have them, unless you bring them in from somewhere (infected cuttings)... untill summer I am not even spraying, no mites at all... ohhh the best part, its from a south american conifer tree 100% organic ... Neem Oil is the best in my opinion...good luck bud!

I used azatrol with ~Stunning~ results.
Killed them like FUCK on the first try.
I will never use Neem again, the human labor element makes up for the massive price of Azo.

You didnt mention if its organic ? Thats important to a lot of people, patients... I now of a lot of chemicals that will kill them bugs fast, and kills you fast too ! I run a small grow, labors not an issue... ohhh did I mention I have not sprayed in months, no bugs at all, for months. Its not expensive either... Dudes not a baller, small grower, Neem works and its safe... I dont know whats in Azatrol, do you?

Azatrol is OMRI listed and poses no harm to the environment or us. It contains the main ingredient Azadirachtin A and B. It also contains over 300 different Liminoids which also have insecticidal properties. It all comes from the Neem kernel. They use a cold water extraction process to isolate the Azadirachtin. The left over Neem fats and oils are sold off to other companies to make other products. Azatrol contains no neem oil, fats, or bitters. Azatrol is great, but really pricey. Like was said neem also works, but if you spray it on buds you will ruin them. I used pyrithrin spray I got from the garden center. Used it on my buds up to 1.5 weeks before harvest. It is made for herbs and veg's, safe to use til 1 day before harvest. It's the same ingredient in Dr. Doom spray, not pyrithum. Instant mite death, but if you miss any, they come back. It is best to spray every 3 days 3 times.

I looked at the MSDS and it should be made from tires... that stuff is nothing like neem oils organic qualities . It says it takes 21 days for the effect, that its not a "knockdown killer" ... that you should wear protective clothing, not to breath it, not to touch/skin rashes, not to get into drinking water, food, etc...well dugh its poison ! also says exposure can make you drowsy and slow... (retarted ?) in short dude, I wouldnt want my caregiver using Azatrol, could be good for your biz, creates long term patients! Its better to smoke poison? Speaking of smoking, is your avatar smoking pole? lol

Hey, if your thinking like that anyways, are you anti~organic ? you should read the msds (manufactures saftey data sheet ) its easy to find, google Azatrol. Poison shit your feedin your patients, thats what should bother you about what i said. btw I love rollitup , this is the best site, freedom of speach, no one should edit a persons opinion, this site is all about freedom ! I use AzaMax from General Hydroponics. You can put it in your res or nute mix and you can put it into a spray. This stuff works great. I also use neem as a regular treatment throughout veg. I add about a tsp of dawn to it and mix with warm water.

pyrethrins are actually pretty safe. they are natural and organic but thats not the reason they're safe. they're safe because they quickly break down with exposure to light and oxygen. they're also biodegradable.
