Prozac + Marijuana

Hey guys, I was prescribed prozac a couple of days ago.

I was wondering if there's any bad side effects of smoking while on prozac? I was just smoking pot a coupla hours ago, and I'm still coming down, but for the most part I'm good. But are there any long term effects? Thanks

Prozac will not take affect for a month or more. The biggest problem with antidepressants is, people think that because they took the pill for a few days the depression or whatever will go away. That is not the case, which is why there is an increased chance for suicide or violent behavior after starting the script. People think, "I took the pill, I should be better, O I don't feel better so I must be hopeless.

I suggest not smoking for a few weeks and try some aroma therapy. Give the Prozac some time.

no side effects from the pot.... watch the prozac though... and I'd suggest doing some deep research on drugs you take before just getting on them because it was given to you.... it IS your body, and there is pleny of scientific, peer reviewed medical knowledge on most drugs to be found online, though you'll probably have to beef up your medical jargon a good bit
