thanks for the info. i can probably get a large cabinet(clothes closet)from a second hand store(value village/savers for next to nothing . i will need advice on low energy consumption along with your info on how to make it so that i may be able to have a high quality product as i am used to smoking some of the best bud for many years. a material list would be handy thanks
Address all your ventilation issues first! This is very important! Properly ventilate your room/box/space and make sure you can control the temperature. You want to keep things around 80 degrees with your lights on and no colder than 60 when your lights are off. You should shoot for a 10 or 15 degree drop in temp. You can get cheap fans at home depot or possibly radio shack and they should more than adequate for a small grow. Be sure to get some 4" ducting and get lots of fresh air coming into the room. Be sure to add at least one ocilating fan as well.
Clean! Make sure everything is very clean and orderly before you start growing. This is important and over looked! You will get bugs and other pests if you don't keep things neat and away from pets.
If you have some money a grow tent is the way to go! If not you will need a closet or space to frame up a room inside a room.
Your best bet is a a space in a closet, basement, or grow tent that you can ventilate well and keep others from seeing.
Also: watch the experts! Get some videos! Books! Invest the time to learn and do it right. These grow videos and books are readily available on torrent sites like btjunkie.org.

Search for the Cannabis Grow Bible "second edition" by greg green.
Amazon has for $16 and if you spend $25 its free shipping.. might I suggest a LED lit microscope to finish the order and to even it out.
Only problem ive noticed with the book is a few pictures are mislabeled and a couple minor things.If you want to grow, read on growing.. not the internet only. You need a hard copy of guidelines..
The tent is by far a cheaper rout, the wood can be cut free at your hardware store. You can choose size, also if you use stuff containg particle board it turns to bug food when exposed to moisture.
