Male plant? When to start flowering?

Hi guys,

I have a plant that has raised calyxes but I'm not sure it a male yet. I don't want to throw it out until I have proven it beyond a doubt. So, can you guys tell me if this plant is a male for sure?

Also, when should I start flowering? As soon as I see pre-flowers?

The picture is blurry but from what I can make out, it looks male to me. How old is the plant?

And, you can start flowering pretty much whenever you feel the plant is 'ready' to. I'm following a grow now that's been 12/12 from seed.

it will still yield some herb though, and you will have seeds to germ from the plant. not what you want, but also, not a total loss.

Thanks for the quick replies guys. I'm going to take him out so the other plants which are female have more room and light penetration. I've started the 12/12 light cycle today. I'm estimating about a month til ready? Is that reasonable?

peace :)

No, its isn't.
The fastest herb I've seen took 40 days to flower to maturity.
Thats 40 days since it started budding, not since they flipped it to 12\12.

A usual fast strain takes 50-55 days to flower, or 55-60 days since 12\12.
