You could just buy the house and make installment payments directly to the seller, look into Contract for Deed. That way it doesn't have to go through a bank on your end.That and you can't buy a house with a visa gift card...

Gift cards are good for maybe a few grand a year, but we're talking about hundreds of thousands of dollars that has to come out squeaky clean so a person could own a home without suspicion.
That's assuming the seller agrees to the contract. Personally if I'm getting into that type of contract its not gonna be with some one that's selling drugs. not exactly but close enough to be right about the point..If you can't prove something is yours the government won't let you keep it. They own your ass. Even if you said you were given it as a present by a philanthropic traveller. They will turn around and say they cannot find proof that it did not come from criminal means and as such will confiscate it until you can show them that proof.

Im about to have an associates degree and my girl will be graduating with a bachelors degree in nursing here soon as well. So there will be a steady source of income (if all goes well) . . . But now I figure one of the easiest ways to actually achieve my original goal of getting the house... Basically just have to start off like every other couple and just rent or buy a cheap house, then eventually apply for a loan on some nice house somewhere, and just use all the money I saved up from my "business" to pay monthly payments on the house.. Or just other expenses such as gas, food, appliances, etc... Maybe invest in some stock and just let some of the money sit for 20 years... Im sure there are plenty of ways to actually get away with things like this as long as you dont flaunt the money that you pulled out of no where.Bought my first house earlier this year and can attest to the fact that they check your money, employment, and background very thoroughly. Had to give up a few years worth of tax returns and employment history. I'm not sure how the process goes if your buying with straight cash but I'm sure someone is going to want to know why or how you have that much dough in your account.
Also, to answer the OP's question, I'm not sure if 250k could last you the rest of your life depending on how much the house is. Don't forget yearly property taxes, maintenance, etc. Then you have closing fees, pay your realtor, the list goes on and on. There's alot more then just the purchase price of the house.

Bottom line all they care about is you paying taxes. You can even do normal business deductions for an illegal operation. However the IRS won't let you pay or report taxes on any illegal operations based on drug production or drug trafficking.
You can be a human trafficker or a total low life mobster and pay taxes like anyone else, however someone growing weed will get a deep shit if they tried to do this. In fact most criminals wouldn't get in so much trouble if they just paid taxes on their illegal operations.
Note your personal taxes and your illegal business taxes are two separate things.

In any case if you buy a home with a lot of cash a lot of questions will be asked. All transaction of cash over $9,999 are subject to immediate tax filing of where you got the money, how you gave it to, ect. It would really be a burden to spend that money in any kind of high volume transaction. You'd need to spend it a little over time.

You really should learn more about tax accounting. You're talking about local taxes and I'm talking about federal. Those are two separate areas of taxation and the only thing they have in common is the fact you can deduct local taxes from your Federal taxable amount.You really should stop going to community college and get a real education.
