maybe there is some photosnth under the leaves, but it would be ridulous to put the lights there, u would yield so much more with the light above or to the side of the plant like i do with my grows

yea i feel ya, i wouldnt put lights under there, i think your better off goin vert on the sides to grow trees...

i generally clean up the undergrowth about 5 days prior to flower.
but yours are looking pretty clean already. i probably wouldnt trim much off them.

it would be a waste shining them from bellow caz there is no photosynth underneath the leaves. either side by side is fine or a V shape either would work well.
yes i have to agree with you.

Its not a waste not telling him to put hps lights underneath . Sides would be better thats my bad works for me really well have 3 150 hps lights ontop of my babies and then have 4 flos inbetween on sides of the plant but kinda underneath. Wish I could post dam pics so I could show you guys what my set up looks like. Been reading a ton of late and everything I have read said mixing the lights up is killer for the plants having mostly hps but putting alittle blue in there is ok to. He wanted to switch out of using hps just gave a idea to use both like I do I will try to get pics up in another area so everyone can see my set up wish you the best of luck with your grow sorry for any confusion. Peace

Looks like your off to a good start. The plant looks great. You might consider a larger pot, 15gal works good for trees. You can't have too much light.

Good luck
