ya im not worried about hurting them, i just want them to turn a deep blue/purple, and supposedly cooler temps help that out. But ive not seen any scientific data on that just dudes talking about it in forums.

It is a party cup grow off. The plants has to be grown in a 16oz party cup. It was just something different to try. It has been a blast.

the cold will help make it turn colors but mainly in the leafs, and it needs to get pretty chilly. if you want colors then a strain that is known to be a certain color should be grown

I live in a pretty moderate climate, it doesnt get too cold here at night ( mid 50's) but even the 20 degree swing from day to night has cause some of my non purple strains to turn deep purple.
This was not done by intention, as I personally think its wrong to pass off a fake purple strain. However there was not much I could do to fix the situation without adding to my power consumption, so it shall stay this way until the summer again.

well im not trying to pass off a non purple strain. They are Blue Widows and turn some crazy colors on there own. Im just trying to help bring out the natural colors. I also started adding cha ching today and put them under a pure hps bulb. Had them under a bulb that had MH and HPS.

thanks for the info, i always thought it had to get pretty dam cold. ive never had cold do it to my plants.
and if you want to pass it off as some crazy colored weed. take a bud near harvest time and clip it at the stock the place the end in a food colored water and in a few hours or a day it will start to become that color.
Fdd2blk did a thread on it to show it. it is pretty cool, but he says it made the weed taste bad

she had some mold starting i think. so i chopped. yes before and after pics. this is my other girl, janice. SNOW CRASH says 10 days. which sounds legit. her trics are milky. so are monicas
monica was under a400w hps with some blue in it.
janice is currently under a 250hps with some blue in it also
janices' buds are way chocolaty. but to the touch and squeez. very sweet and sour. very fruity.

I start by drying my bud, i dont want it to dry to fast, i want it take 4-5 days to dry if you can. i take the nugs off the branches and put them into a jar when the buds feel dry on the outside but when you try to snap a stem it is still bendy so some moisture is still in the bud, then put lids on keep in a dark cool place and check on a few times a day and open the lid for the 1st week or 2 to let the extra moisture out. the moisture in the stem now made the nug not as dry ensuring a slow cure. then just leave it in the jar after the buds are completely dry to cure longer. now you can leave them on for a long time i always check mine once a week now even on 2 month old harvested weed

hella man i am def gonna set some aside for a long mutha fucking slow cure maybe a year idk. im planning on moving to colorado to join the med scene down there. maybe have a celebration bud if i can resist that long

alright my flower room is 9 weeks in. strains are pineapple chunk, sharksbreath, and a kush x haze cross from mr nice. thanks to the local tap i'm again having ph issues that contribute to early leaf loss but the buds are coming along nice. again, this is a 400w hps setup in a closet. the pics are labled so you know what strains are which. i'd say the lst was a success although a couple weeks into flower i stopped keeping up with tying the branches down and some of the tied branches came undone so things got a little uneven. i started letting branches grow sideways to fill up the closet since i had to trash 4 males/herms. the tallest part of any of the plants is about 25 inches.

also it looks like the leaf loss was do to a N def. most people get them early on in flower cuz they cut out all veg nutes and just add bloom witch does not have enough N. to support green leafs. mabye next grow add veg nutes a few times through out flower
