Planting a kind that i dunno..

well ive been smoking compressed stuff for years, and i really wanna get my hand on a real bud,but in my country it's illegal as well.so what ive done is i plant it inside my room with 4 18w cfl lightbulbs, waiting for my 400w,i set the timer to 18/6 ...well it has been 3weeks but my plant's size is like extraordinary small, wonder is thr any prob with it...

homeboy, i only had ONE 18 W cfl on two plants in the beginning haha they looked nothing like yours.
they grew reeeeeeal slow man

well is my plant growing healthy or what?i really worried bout all the security and stuffs.and nice sexy plants you have!ok imma ask you guys a stupid question, how long does it until flowering stage?my grow space is actually quite small, bout 1sq meter, and i got no heat prob.

can tell its a sativa...so it can handle more heat...but its going to take much longer for it to flower and finish...400 watts will do it if its a hps or hid...there are no single 400 watt cfls....least not that ive seen...you have to go by the watts its using....so if it says 400...thats probably more like 85 watts

is thr any limit of watt for the plant?

If there is a limit I would say it would be the amount of light put off by the sun. That is unless you meant low limit, like how little can you get away with .. and you never want to think that way. Always think more, not less.

healthy...to be honest..not really..its really stretched out, looks like it has heat stress...and its lacking nitrogen...right around 3-4 weeks it will start needing food..depending on the soil of course....and as it comes to flowering...you tell it when to flower...they have to be on a 12/12 light cycle...unless its a autoflowering plant..which it isnt being a random seed...you have to have 12 hours of darkness for it to flower....this site might just save your plant...but you have a lotttttt of learning and research to do

thanks a lot seniors!ill try to update more on my plant, hopefully you guys will be here to help me out.and what can i do if its stretched out?

im subbed up and here to help if needed...and i hardly sleep..so that could be a good thing for ya...but the stretching is the plant trying to get closer to the light source...how far away are your lights?...put your hand under the light...move your hand down untill you dont feel the burn from your lights...thats how far away the plant needs to be from it...cfls dont burn too hot...so you can get them much closer then larger hps and hid bulbs...just as long as it isnt too close to burn the top leaves...and its not too close that it grows into the lights if your not keeping an eye on it

also...gonna need more soil in that pot.....its best to start them in a smaller container like a party cup...something with good drainage...then transplant into bigger pots as it gets more rootbound as it grows....and try to resist overwatering it...thats the first mistake new growers make...too much water is just as bad if not worse then underwatering it....check the weight of the pot...when it feels light..its time to water...cant really judge by checking the top couple inches of soil

heres what you do. look up my journal and do the exact OPPOSITE i do. then you'll be fine :)
but first, get some control over that stretching. its gonna cause serious headaches in the future when your using so weak lighting. ( speaking out of experience)

i had seroius stretching problems in the beginning. had to have support beams and shyte. later on i had to bury the stem in soil cause it was so stretched :(
now i got a different prob. they not increasing in height at all haha just getting bushier by the day

Sort like like the intense heat that a Swiss sativa has to endure in nature, right?

The strain might easily be a cross that is sativa dominant or even one that is not all that sativa dominant but has more of a sativa appearance to it, as in narrow leaves. He'd still be best to try to maintain normal growing temperatures of mid to upper 70's. Even if it is a true sativa it doesn't need equatorial conditions.

but its going to take much longer for it to flower and finish...
That is likely but not assured, especially if it is a cross. Not that I like the strain, it's just the first to come to mind, but Arjan's Haze #2, which is highly predominantly sativa, has a 67 day flowering time, 9.5 weeks, and that's not much different than many indicas.

400 watts will do it if its a hps or hid...
HPS is HID (High Intensity Discharge) Did you mean MH, as in Metal Halide? If so that is also HID but he would want MH for flower and HPS for flower.

I didn't see where it was said the 400-watt light that is being waited for is a CFL so I think it is safe to assume he meant a HID light, but I have seen a 500-watt CFL grow light ... but it was sort of a misrepresentation in that it did not have one 500-watt bulb but instead two 250-watt bulbs of different Kelvin rating to give a broader light spectrum .. but it would not penetrate like the wattage would made someone think it would .. and that was the misrepresentation part.

bushy is good...start training it...then remember that the first 3 weeks of flower...its will stretch again....train it now before it starts outgrowing your space...if you train it after it starts to flower..you will stress it too much and lower your yield
